    Jetstar cruise speed?

We just had one come into OUN a few days ago, from what i understand they were flying a television evangelist. It was my first time to see one actually flying. It looked as thought they kept it up pretty nice, i also noticed it has stage 3 hush kits on the engines. They are pretty quick...

    Citabria/Decathlon Rental

After doing some aerobatic training recently in an Aerobat i think i've caught a bug. I am considering purchasing a citabra or a super decathlon. The only way i could justify it is if i used it to provide upset training, taildragger sign offs, and do some general aerobatic instruction. I...

    Women vs. Men in Aviation

If a guy and a girl are both applying for a job and the women gets the job I'll bet 90% of the guys who didn't get hired, would say it is because she is a women. In reality I'm guessing there is not that much of a difference. Obviously there are people out there who would refuse to hire a...

    Da40 / Sr20

I've flown a DA40 and an SR22, As far as avionics goes I like the G1000 better than the Avidyne system. I like the side stick on the Cirrus better than the center stick in the Diamond.

    comm. rating

I use all 3 full forward for takeoff, 25"/2500rpm for climbout, and 21"/2400rpms for cruise in the non t-tailed version..... If you look in the chart in the POH there are actually settings that have you keep the throttle on top of the prop, Its definitly harder on the engine though.

What kinds of flying "fun" have you or "your friends" engaged in?

Throw a partially unrolled roll of toilet paper out the window and then try to dive down and hit it. The unrolled portion acts as a streamer to keep it from falling too fast, sometimes it will just unroll all the way leaving a long strip of toilet paper slowly falling.... It makes people on the...

    Public perception of pilots

The first question i get asked is whether or not I wear a parachute.... Following that i get asked what would happen if the wing fell off.. I usually say that the gas tanks are in the wings so if they fall off then i have no gas for the engine, therefore the engine would die and i would crash......

    Logbooks

I'm about halfway through one of those small ASA standard log books. I like how the larger Jepp logbook divides columns up, as well as provides more blank ones for things like complex, high performance, turbine, etc. I have been thinking of switching to a new large jepp book, and placing my...
