WTF!!!
In 7.5 years here at ASA, this is the worst I have ever seen the lines. Here's the horrible rundown..
On the CRJ200, of the 326 lines there is only "1" 3-day line!!!, the rest are mostly 4-days and naps (standups).
2 lines have 16 days off.
13 lines have 14 days off.
41 lines have...
I'm looking hard at FedEx now. I know they aren't hiring for a while, but it may be worth the wait. Anyhow, I was just wanting some info from the current pilots.
How many days off do you avg. a month? What are the schedules like on the 727/MD-11? 4 days, 7 days, 14 days? What's a typical...
So I have been beating myself up trying to understand what AirTran is looking for to get hired. Of my interview class, it seems the most experience pilots were turned down, while one who made it has never flown a jet/turboprop. What gives?
Does anyone know the magic formula? Is there such a...
So Scott Hall and Robert Connely met an inbound flight at the gate. They took the F/O to the office, and 20 minutes later, escorted him upstairs without his id badge. This is what happens when you sell company headsets on ebay.
I know it's bad on F/O's salary, but cmon. Protect your career here.
I'm not too sure how the B Fund works. Let's say if the company gives you 10% into a B Fund, and you make 100,000$, then the company would put in 10,000$ into your B Fund. Now, is that just fixed or does it draw a rate of return over the life of the fund?
Thanks
Just wandering who's all seen the shrink during phase two. He seemed nice, but I still don't agree with he/she having the power to decide your fate as an airline pilot. I hear a few guys are getting shot down by the shrink, and so long Delta career. Anyone know how long before you know...
Around 8PM last night, an AirTran tug decided to take a detour under the wing of one of our CRJ's. It happend on ramp 4 at the spine. The police said the driver wasn't severely injured. It was a very strange sight to see a tug layed on it's side, pushing up the left wing of the aircraft. That's...
I thought the mediator was going to contact our CNC this week on his next move. Sounds like he is stalling just like management. Could be some kinda coalition between the two.
I'm somewhat confused on how Delta pilots get paid, with there so-called banks. Let's say you fly 80 hours, and are credited to 95 hours. From what I've been told, you don't get paid "95" hours. How exactly do you guys get paid, and what about this "bank"..
Thanks
From Delta Flight Ops
New hire pilots will be assigned an aircraft type and base as required by Delta’s operational needs. The most probable selections are as follows:
1) ATL - M88, 738
2) NYC - M88, 738
3) SLC - M88/M90
For those of you on these aircraft, how many lines are there, and...
I was just filling out my info and had a question. Under your certificates and ratings, it asks for the Date of Issuance. The date on my certificate differs from the "actual" date I recieved the certificate. Which do you use?
I'm just curious about the equipment and base that the recall pilots are holding. Is LGA still the junior base? I would imagine the MD-88 is the junior plane. Is anyone holding 737-800? How junior is ATL?
For the Delta pilots, after taking the massive paycuts to protect the airline, when do you expect to be getting some of that back? When is your next annual Date of Sigining, or was that thrown out as well? Is there an annual percentage raise based on the current contract? I understand if Delta...
For some reason, I don't believe Bryan Labrecque makes the same as an RJ Captain, not counting stock options... Makes you wonder...

I can't find anyone who can answer this with a definative answer. Yes, ASA wants to give us a .26$/hour raise. We want Skywest plus some %. The mediator suspended negotiations twice. What will it take for the mediator to step up to the plate if we're really that far apart? It seems to me that...
So the mediator suspended any future sessions. The union is getting ready for a strike simulation. So exactly where do we go from here? It seems to me the mediator has the control. Who's to say he'll just sit for another year? When is he able to give us our cooling off period? If...
