Really? What does this mean? LXJET proposes to keep their contract plus a pay raise, and ASA proposes to keep their contract with a pay raise? Does the company just pick one or do they combine it? I'm so confused now.

Where you hearing this? Source?

Dear fellow pilots:

Today, after a thorough review and discussion of the tentative agreement, the ASA and XJT MECs passed separate resolutions to send this tentative agreement out to the pilot group for a ratification vote. The two MECs also reviewed a comprehensive communications plan to ensure that each pilot has the opportunity to review the agreement and ask questions. This includes pilot roadshows in each domicile, all-pilot conference calls, crew room visits, and a dedicated public website.

The next step is for the Joint Negotiating Committee to prepare contract materials, including a summary of the agreement and other educational materials to accompany the full text language. The majority of this process will be completed within the next week.

We understand that there will be a lot of questions about this tentative agreement, and we are sure you are eager to see the contract. We ask for your continued patience as the materials are finalized. It has been a long three-and-a-half years of negotiations. We look forward to providing you with this agreement in full so you can make an informed decision when the time comes to cast your ballot.

Fraternally,

Nothing sinister here; this is just the way the process works.

There is a lot of information to be digested in the coming weeks. If you have questions, get in touch with a rep. Everyone of us are here to help pilots.

What part of the email is confusing? There are 2 separate MECs/pilot groups until a JCBA is ratified and SLI is complete. Each MEC had to pass a resolution, separately, to approve of sending the Agreement In Principle out to the pilots as a Tentative Agreement for ratification voting. There aren't any separate "proposals" for the company to consider. The resolutions are simply motions that have been adopted by each MEC.

Reading IS fundamental! Isn't it?!

NO, fraternally.

I will wait and see, but betting it passes with 50-60%...
In Co. opinion, if they get anything over 50%+1 they left money on the table... Think they will be close to their goal.
My biggest complaint is that when new regs come down such as the rest rules that make airline ops more expensive, The Co. tries to make labor take the pay cut to absorb the difference. What they should do is what every other business does when its costs rise.... pass it along to the consumer.... "What more "eye candy" safety... then pay for it, don't take it out of labor's pocket!!!"
