Hey ex-Vanguard folks,
I was brand new at Vanguard when the company went under, but I enjoyed my brief stint at Vanguard a lot. The best part of the company was the people there.
Anyway, today, the one year anniversary of the demise of Vanguard, I want to send best wishes to all the...
Why do you guys continue to give NJAowner so much grief? Most of the people we all fly (whether it's frax, corporate, charter, airline, etc) could give a crap about the different issues we all face in this industry. At least this guy is interested.
And, he is right on one point. Owners have...
Any other pilots out there had luck with the Atkin's Diet. For me, it's going well, but can be a struggle on the road sometimes. Get tired of hotel "continental" breakfasts too! Where's the eggs?!
Looking for any new ideas on acceptable Atkin's types of foods too.
Thanks.
You can log all the time of "sole manipulator" PIC per part 61.
However, if your goal is the airlines, they will not recognize this time. Just about every major and national airline app I have filled out specifies that they want PIC flight time as specified in Part 1. You must have final...
Alaska,
If you think $18,000 is horrendous, check this out.
15.30 (1st year FO pay at Great Lakes)
X 75 (hourly guarantee)
X 12 (months)
----------------
= $13,770 gross wages annually
Granted, many GLA pilots fly above 75 hours a month.
Hey, I too was excited when I first started at GLA...
This may or may not be right for you. I was in-between jobs for 3 months this year and without health insurance for my family for that time. I bought a plan from Fortis Health Insurance (out of Milwaukee) that is for people who need temporary insurance. I think the max you can do it is for 12...
There are several options. I've heard good things about the Gleim (or is it Gliem?) online program. The one I last did was online from American Flyers. I wouldn't recommend it if you are a practicing CFI because you probably will get very little knowledge out of it. But, if you just want to...
If you received an application, that's a very good sign. They are quite stingy about sending them out these days. Get the app in asap. Accompany it with (or send in later) a letter of rec from a NJ pilot. It's a waiting game right now. It could take a year. Almost everyone in my new hire...
I would email the pilot hiring dept requesting an update form. They'll send you one, especially if you got that letter. The "squeaky wheel" theory holds true at NetJets.
Good luck.
Sorry to hear about your job. Anyway, this was a job posting from www.planejobs.com

Good point SunnFun. Also, some FSDO's will renew your CFI cert if you are currently flying as a Capt at a 121 airline. Their interpretation is that you are instructing FO's on a daily basis.
I've done this at ORD. Also at no cost.
"they also provide exceptionally positive recovery characteristics form the deep stall regime."
It's not a complete recurrent GLA ground school until somebody mentions the deep stall regime.
From what I've read on other threads, sounds like NetJet's classed are full for the remainder of the year.
But, is NetJets still calling people to schedule interviews?
Hoping for THE CALL for an interview.
Sent in app Nov '01
Received Interview letter Dec '01
Updated app Sept '02
Thanks!
