Flaps and Slats on the Airbus
I believe that the flaps were never fully retracted after takeoff. Doing a Flaps 3 takeoff out of LGA is not uncommon in the A320. So they might have retracted them to position 1+F just before they hit the birds and then just left them there until impact. As someone mentioned before the book... -

SWA to England?
I think it is only a matter of time before SWA or B6 start flying to Europe. It will take some time but it does make sense since the transatlantic flying seems to offer higher yields. I can see 787's in SWA colors and A330's or A350's in B6 colors in the next 5-10 years.... -

I stop drinking juice of any color long time ago (including the ALPA juice). In my opinion a lot of JB pilots are over reacting to the latest road show news. I just don't think getting ALPA on the property now will help our cause, just my opinion!!! -

Good point! and I certainly don't like healthcare premiums going up. But how in the world is ALPA or any other union lower my healthcare premiums? By the way I'm happy to see you guys get pay raises and contract improvements, you deserve it!, however, you can't really compare the ALPA... -

Zipperhead, sometimes the calls go out late in the evening! I was called after 7:00pm, I think it was around 7:30pm, a little over seven weeks after my interview in Sept. Hang in there...like I have said before it is well worth the wait! Take care and good luck! -

As far as I know they haven't called any of the Nov. 2nd/3rd interviewees yet. I have several friends in Phase 2 anxiously waiting... I was in Phase 2 for over 7 weeks.....I was going crazy! -
