Sounds like the US regional airline model isn't the answer at air Me Me Mekong and undercutting expats didn't have the magical effect once thought by your genius management.
HanoiHilton: what good will your "clever" ID be when they send you packing? Maybe you can network with all of your new...
I have been inundated by all of them, but refuse to go back to SHAMEFUL 1st year pay. I'll stay current and qualified overseas until the day comes, if ever, that US wages are where they should be. Unfortunately, it isn't just our industry. It's medicine, engineering, service sectors and more...
Wow! What are the mins and what do you think the upgrade time will be? Where do I apply? Is anyone willing to walk in my resume? I have 400tt and 19 multi. The E190 is awesome. It looks like a cross between a 737 and an Airbus A320. The photos I've seen of the flight deck on Airliners.net...
Yeah, and in 2008, announcing hiring of 450+ pilots and a 15 new CRJ-900 a/c. Ooooh....sorry...those are going somewhere else. No more hiring. Hey, let's furlough 300 instead. Inhumane.
With the flaps 8 speed now 200kts, flight spoilers might come in handy a little more often. If you don't like to see them, close you shade doofus. What kind of dork stares out the window looking at the wing anyway? Besides that, you must have a Napoleon complex, because anyone taller than 5'...
I award you zero points for creativity. Feel as comfortable as you want "knowing" you have a job back at ASA.
Contracts are terminated for countless reasons. The number one being lack of "co-operation" with the contract carrier. Since this is such a lucrative contract for Skywest/ASA, let me...
Oh yeah, one last thing.
When you are a contract pilot, the airline will hold you to every letter of the contract. They, however, will interperate everything in their favor. Oh by the way, if you're not happy about the outcome, take them to court. Unfortunately, it will be in the...
Final words on Air MeJet from a negative know-nothing
I had to walk away from this thread in pure frustration. Trying to share some insight based on ACTUAL experience only to hear people attempt to justify an all around poor decision was starting to piss me off.
The facts are basic: It is not...
Oooh. Double zing on me.
Good for you, little Napoleon. Good for you!
I hope you take the MeJet(tm) contract with it's "class leading T&C's". Six months from now, you'll be finishing up leg 7 only to get a call that you're being "asked" to "cooperate" and operate 6 legs the following day...
Yes, thank you for pointing out how ignorant I am about overseas contracts. I'm sure the all the ones that you've done have really enlightened you.
You sir, manage to be condescending while displaying naivete.
Congratulations?
I've said it on the other boards, along with a few other experienced ex-pats. This is a SUB-PAR contract. Working overseas is not a joyride and anyone who jumps at this is no better than the GoJet pilots you all like to crap on so much. Food for thought.
Thanks to SkyWest/ASA, the last...
