There are two sim instructors based in MEM as Saab Captains (according to the seniority list Mesaba put out) which they included in the totals on the first notice. If you read the note at the bottom it states that management and instructor pilots are not included in the totals. Therefore when...
I’m currently looking for a job to stay locally in the DTW area. Some of the people I currently work with have applied to IFL. I know they’re a pretty good company but I have some concerns about the lifestyle. Could anybody tell me how many days you would realistically have off every month as...
That’s just mean spirited especially when you only get paid your scheduled block. Everyone makes mistakes; I saw a Chautauqua ERJ taxi into position and hold on their assigned runway yesterday at Willow Run (YIP) without ever calling the tower. But I guess mistakes like this only happen to...
This is exactly right. If Mesaba went on strike over this are any of you guys going to pay their bills if they lost their jobs? I doubt it. Every one of you that think Mesaba Pilots are wrong to ratify the TA are really just a bunch of loud mouth hypocrites. EVERY SINGLE regional airline...

I would buy the quick study guide from Avsoft and see if you can get a hold of the limitations. But don't worry too much they'll teach everything they want you to know.

If you gave any of the Mesa Pilot Development guys a turbo prop they probably wouldn't know what to do because they have no FMS or autopilot. They also have 40 hours in that pile of $hit CRJ FTD and they all think their experts. I had one tell me that he had the abitliy to be a captain at 250...
Mesa doesn't pay for your hotel until two days prior to your sim training. It's actually not a hotel either they put you up in roach infested houses at Williams Gateway Airport if you stay in Phoenix for your sim. Which means that you have to pay for your hotel during indoc, systems, and...
