AirTran Using Cookies in Takeover Attempt
An unusual twist in discounter AirTran’s hostile takeover bid for Midwest Airlines.
For AirTran, the deal means $345 million in cash and stock, but for passengers...
According to the DAL website, infants under 2 must have an FAA aproved car seat. I called Delta reservations to ask if it was okay to hold a lap child but HABIB didn't speak english very freakin' well so....
Can you still hold infants in your lap????

CHARLESTON, S.C.
An argument over toilet paper overflowed into a fight, sending one motel maid to the hospital and another to jail.
The maids at the Siesta Motor Lodge in North Charleston armed themselves...
Has anyone at ASA got their Christmas cookies yet? I am packing for my two-day tomorrow and need to know if I should include those in my meal panning preparation.
Neil Boortz' explanation:
Aircraft Inertial Guidance Systems
The aircraft knows where it is at all times. It knows this because it knows where it isn't. By subtracting where it is from where it isn't, or where it isn't from where it is (whichever is the greater), it obtains a difference, or...
At ASA, our pax weights just went from 170/175 to 190/195...this really affects our ability to carry 50 folks not to mention a jumpseater, especially on short flights because we are landing weight limited.
Is DAL mainline affected and if so, can the MD-88 carry a full load plus a j/s an short...
I would like General's take on this:
Lately at ASA, there have been a few "extra sections" added to various cities such as CAE and BHM...problem is the flight times match up with CNX mainline flights. Scheduling is calling these extra sections but it is essentially a downgrade from mailine to...
As we know, DAL wants 30% pay cuts for the pilots and the MEC has proposed 13.5%. Latest rumor was that the MEC said if DAL would accept 13.5% then they would allow ASA to fly 100 seaters!!! General, say it ain't so!

The mins state you must have your FE written but in the "questions" link on the web site it states you must have FE written "prior to starting training." Does this mean I can get interviewed without the FE as long as I get it prior to training or did I just waste 50 bucks?
Thanks
Just curious....I initially applied to AirTran about a year ago and have updated my resume regularly, problem is, after I fax or email them my update I get no response. No "Thank you"...No "we got your resume" or anything. Is this normal? How can I be sure that the fax/email went thru...
Seen on flight bag in ATL:
A pic of a B-2 Stealth and the caption says "Be vewwy vewwy quiet...were hunting tewwowist."
Nearly spit out my coffee laughing. Where can I get one?
Heard on the news last night that the William B Hartsfield-Stonewall Jackson airport is now requiring an actual boarding pass to get thru security. What does that mean for us jumpseaters or non-revs without a seat? Is a "seat request" still good enough?
Can the WO's (ASA and CMR) ride up front even if there are seats in the back?
The reason I ask is because recently on a 767, the only seat available was a middle seat between Jethro and Bubba and hindsight being 20/20 I wondered if I could have been more comfortable up front.
Thanks
