To All American Eagle Pilots,
By now you have probably read today’s Special Eaglewire from Peter Bowler, that addresses
our current over-staffing and the necessary furlough of 75 American Eagle pilots – as well as
the reduction of 45 management positions. A copy of...
Eagle to join in on Furloughs?
March 26, 2009
Fellow DFW Pilots,
It has come to our attention that a furlough of some of our fellow Eagle pilots may be imminent. At present we do not know how many pilots will be furloughed. We do know that management hopes to make a decision within the next...

Just picked up a Mac as an Xmas present. Does anyone know if Logbook pro has software for the Mac? I found a similar logbook pro called 2nd Segment. Does anyone use 2nd Segment or has heard of it? Thinking about picking it up for my Mac. http://www.2ndsegment.com/
I am looking for a website that allows viewers to see what gate/time/airline for a specific date route and location. I know about passrider.com, but the site seems to be broken. Does anyone else know of any other ones?
Thanks.
I have an Interview with Eagle on the 4th. Any advice/suggestions/pointers or .02 cents? I have all my documents in order and have been studying the crud out of jepp charts. I heard they no longer have the 60 question ATP test so I haven't really been studying the Gleim book. Anything...
Does anyone know any sort of stats on becoming a Private Pilot? Like 1 out of 100 is a pvt pilot. Or only 20% of student pilots actually become a private pilot. Something a long these lines?
Thanks
Any last minute pointers? Suggestions? Advice? Opinions? I will be taking the test with Leslie Henninger, a DE out of the Chicago land area. I hope its not as bad as my initial with the DPA FSDO. I've been studying hard core, but feel like I still don't know as much as I should. Not sure why...
MEL add on to a Comm. ticket was received on 4/20/2005. Initial CFI was received on 4/20/2006. Today's date is 5/1/2007. I have heard mix that yes you do because a CFI doesn't count, but I have also heard it does. Thoughts?
How is the CFI double I written different from just the normal instrument written? If I wanted to buy the Gleim software to study would I just be ordering the noraml instrument test prep?
I was handed my first Recreational Pilot the other day. He is pretty much done all his training and just needs to finish up. This Rec stuff is very foreign to me. I checked out that FAR/AIM and went over some of the requirements, but I was wondering how a typical recreation practical test went...
I am looking for a reg or something in writing that says I (a CFI-A) can give sim instruction to a (CFII) and can sign his logbook for the training. Is there such a reg?
A CFII wants to jump in the sim and log some approaches. He is current. Can I as a CFI who is not current sit at the computer acting as instructor and sign his log book?
Ok, so "turn around, bend over, and spread em" What the hell does this accomplish? Am I the only one who feels violated by this? What are they even looking for? I have heard of the finger up the butt exam, but have not had the pleasure of that one yet! Is it time I go to another AME?
