STOP HIJACKING THE THREAD YOU AHOLES!!!!!:uzi: There is a thread for you to snipe at each other. This is for those of us who are interested in NJ recalls.

Well we're glad you guys are coming back. Just don't let let the return to NJA be so joyous that you sell all of us short. I know being furloughed sucks, but don't forget it's a road many of us have been down long before you....and in a market that was much worse for pilots than now. So please, PLEASE keep a strong backbone these upcoming years in our fight.

Uh huh......2010 saw lots of job openings for pilots, or any other profession for that matter. This is the part where I do the "are you brain dead" blink.

None of which has anything to do with wanting the next contract to be substandard. Something you active board warriors should really take to heart. But you won't of course, and yet you'll continue to wonder why it's still the same 30-40 names posting there and no one else.

Man, where is the "like" button when you need one.
;)

Given the number of threads in this forum, and others, that have been completely derailed by NJ discussions, this is rich.

There needs to be a "kick in the groin" smiley....

The recession was among the worst employment landscapes since the Great Depression..... So unless you are 90+ years old, no you haven't been in a worse job market for pilots....... The early 90's had tougher standards for getting hired, but there were still jobs available. In 2010, Besides moving overseas, there were no jobs to be had unless you happen to get on with the only carrier who hired (jetblue)

Even in the post 9/11 world when many major carriers furloughed, there was mass regional hiring. Plus jetblue and SWA were growing like weeds. And then there were places like NJA who grew exponentially. Not the case in the 2010 era.

Please provide proof that you were furloughed during a worse job market than the last recession.

Bent, imac,

I subscribe to 3 different pilot employment sites, and see better numbers than you may be aware of. Even in crappy AZ we have constant openings for charter, air ambulance, FSI, and corporate. I had no trouble getting a little extra flying in 2010. Back in the 90s all I could get was a job humping hose at the FBO for $4 an hour. Proof? What do want, my pay stubs? A picture of my rented room? My ********************ty '76 Plymouth? I guess you're generation is the first one to ever have a setback. Or maybe a setback that you find it easier to blame everyone else for and expect a collection plate for. What the hell, guys? Most of us have been there, and there will always be someone who has it worse sooner or later. While I can appreciate your plight, please stop acting like you're the only ones to have ever been through it and that the world owes you for it. You only make yourselves look bad. Only what, 176 to go before everyone gets their call....so hang tough and keep the faith. BTW not a single extended day since you all were let go.

Sorry, but your demeanor comes across as very condescending...

Then you go on to labeling myself and whoever is returning as young guys who complain about our careers etc.... Our generation yada yada yada....

You can be happy to know I am not returning to sell you short.... I did find a job almost immediately after furlough, and made that job into a better job with pay and benefits superior to your company... So you may think of it as a complaint I guess...

It just irks me to no end when guys like you place labels and have such condescending attitudes.....Hopefully, many return just to bide some time until something better comes along, or to get current.

Just for the record my first airline was before 9/11... I may not be as old and wrinkly as you but I've been around the block enough to know when I smell BS....

Those little orange sites with all the job postings..... Ain't worth the bandwidth they take up.....

Filling a 9/28 class now. 60 notices sent. Let us know what's up if you're on the list in that range.

I don't expect anything, but would love to see the condescention toward your fellow pilots dropped. Wow you found a little extra flying in 2010, that's just the same as finding full time employment. Doing the eye blink again.

Wouldn't it be great to see active pilots welcome back furloughees without the first thing out of their mouths "hey don't F me over in the next contract"? You know, just general common courtesy? So far we've seen two in the last couple days that have displayed none.
