In my 11 years of participating on these types of forums I have never seen so much control and threats by a moderator. Not even close. This is the only time I have seen such consistent activity by anyone in this type of position.

If this behavior is supported by all the mods and web master, there has been an egotistic increase in control issues which has taken the fun out of this forum.

I wish this would change back to way it use to be managed. It was far more enjoyable.

Dash,

He's a good guy under a large amount of pressure.

Personally, I don't think he's being heavy handed. I understand that you may disagree. I also respect that.

I don't really feel that my opinions are censured until I step well outside the line. Just my view.

I hope the goal is to not allow this to degenerate to the US Air East level. In terms of both rhetoric and practicality.

dicko,

Agree 100%...the forum ebbs and flow based upon topic and traffic. Points of views are being expressed, meaningful ones, comical ones, worthless ones and on rare occasion "flames" are deleted or those posts that violate the rules.

Thanks to Lear & the other moderators. the good thing is we have a place to debate and express our views.

I'm sorry you feel this way, but the "new approach" started a while back to keep the forums at least PG-rated and without an excessive amount of mud-slinging or thread hijacking on issues that were dominating the entire board.

For the most part, it seems to be working as we intended, keeping the "flare-ups" to a minimum while still allowing free thought. If you have a better idea on how to moderate any of the SPECIFIC things I've warned people about in this thread and others recently, please shoot me a PM.

Thanks,

There is not a single pilot at SWA who can keep me away from my chosen line.

In eight years I have flown with a handful I don't care for, but none that will keep me from my chosen trip. In my previous job there were some that I wondered if I would end the trip incarcerated ... I'm just saying ...

no actual employee numbers ... but union rep initials? Lear70, i am convinced you make these rules up as you go ...

You must have missed "Boner" and the Bipolar wanna be astronaut :)

What about the most important part: seniority list integration among SWA and Airtran. With the most senior SWA pilots hired in the 70s and 80s, it will be interesting to see who they are integrated with the most senior Airtran pilots, hired in the 90s.

They will start in 1993 or 1994 and then work from there.
