I think that you need to understand DAL's current stance on cargo and how it plays in to the current fleet. It is a public press release, so go Google away.

Too lazy. We know there is money in cargo, under wing cargo. Dedicated Aircraft Cargo ops is not the business DAL wants to be in. Maybe down the road but not now. We make a killing on under wing cargo. We are revamping our entire system for payload and revenue optimization. We will continue to make money with cargo, not just with your (NWA's) dedicated cargo jets.
I understand that NWA Cargo lost over 180 million. Ours is paying for the air service by itself. Passengers and just the icing on the cake.

I sense another "elitist Delta pilot" comment coming. How else can you confront facts that bury any argument who can possibly think of?

Why did Delta request lower rates on the 330? it is in the testimony, verbatim. Go look it up, for apparently you have not read them yet.

I read the testimony. Now tell us all, why did DALPA request to lower the pay rates on the A330? I would think they'd want higher pay rates.

Well as before, go find it, sight it, and bring it to the table, I am not doing your homework for you.

Puffy,
Facts? Only Puffy takes what he hears on FI from another DAL pilot as fact. I prefer more official formats to base the facts on. Like when did DAL place orders for 777s beyond the 10 they have now.

Puffy, you da man!! Now that you read it on FI, it must be fact.

I still remember hearing that NWALPA agreed to have the higher 764 payrates for the A330 if the A330 payrates were NOT used in the arbitration hearings, and NWALPA agreed.

So 10 777s on property now. When were the 6 ordered? Before or after announced merger? My understanding it was after, but too lazy to look it up right now.

No before. 2 were ordered for 2010 after the announcement. I think they were ordered in July. (off the top of my head)
