Joey.... c;mon you can debate better than this... get rid of the bias and debate the issue...

We aren't talking about a difference of opinion... we are talking about being offensive!!!

Can I request the jumpseat from a female capt. and tell her that men are better pilots?

I take mainline pilots who think they are superior all the time....

Typical mainline pilot who asks for the jumpseat usually has to inform me that they are hiring.... I find that offensive... but I don't kick them off the aircraft.... I take them home and treat them as an EQUAL even if they don't do the same.....

If you ask me about a controversial question, then you should be prepared for the answer..... If you don't want to hear my opinion, then don't ask me the question....

If this jumpseater had just volunteered this opinion, that would be one thing.... but he was asked his opinion.... and he gave it....

I didn't realize there was a litmus test for the jumpseat....

You never answered how this jives with the ALPA code of ethics.....

Wholly $hit!

Are you telling me there will be some questionnaire when I come and ask for a ride?
A350

YES!

1.Can I see your FAA licence, medical, and Company ID.

2. Are you an FFDO

Unless of course you don't apply because you sir after flying your 172 for 300 hours deserve this guys jumpseat and he should respect the fact that you took the time out of your day to grace him with your presence...

I like the idea of no ALPA no Jumpseat...I'll apply it to the RED tail that I fly...

After all ALPA is a brotherhood and we take care of each other

Care to point out a section of the Code that you think applies to this situation? I certainly can't find one. Denying a jumpseat to a loyal ALPA member could certainly be seen as contrary to the Code, but that's about it.

Did they offend you? When do you draw the line Joey?

Sure I'll give an answer, but it wil be tactful... you like to go round and round...

If this jumpseater had just volunteered this opinion, that would be one thing.... but he was asked his opinion.... and he gave it....

And he got denied. PIC authority Joey...

I didn't realize there was a litmus test for the jumpseat....

It's called, yes, please, thank you. Can I help?

Find the section that relates... if you can...

I work for AQ and the reason i denied him the jumpseat was not due to his union vote but due to the fact he said Fukc ALPA. In those words.

I had his name and will submit his attitude to the j/s coordinator. People can vote what they want but dont come to my plane and piss on what i have worked for.

Maybe if ALPA didn't keep fcking things up, people would quit saying it...... Truth hurts people.....

We are competing with each other and ALPA not only hasn't stopped it, they have contributed to it..... We are undercutting each other with ALPA's blessing.....

When someone tells it like it is, they get kicked off the jumpseat..... The problem is he told the truth....

Joey..now you are changing your tune!

You said the j/s wasn't political and the requester got political and unprofessional. Need a Code Of Ethics reference now?

Sorry Joey.. as usual.. you are a hypocrite, biased and lack the skill set to focus on the issue. Bitter man you are.....

I agree with you Joe. If you aren't prepared for an opinion different from your own, then don't ask the question.

One of the huge problems in America today is tolerance and understanding for positions different from your own. We shouldn't be denying a jumpseat to someone because they've made a decision about a position that is different. They may have excellent reasons for that position.

I wouldn't kick someone off of the jumpseat unless they deserved it, and few things make them deserve it. Being rude or arrogant perhaps would fit the bill.
