And why do you guys say "checkin on at 350" That is so stupid. When I have talked to controllers they have all said they hate it when pilots say that.

CLICK HERE to listen to a confused cockpit crew.

Captain 7,

Thanks for the laughs, we all need these threads every now and then.

Hey, you know what they say... See a broad, to get that booty yak 'em.
Leg 'er down 'n smack 'em yak 'em
Cold got to be. You know? Shiiiiit.

Smack 'em yack 'em

Yo, the bro was ooonnnn! Didn't trip! (Mr. Striker performed exceptionally)
Laid that jet mo' fo' on the ground like a mother.....! (His landing was swell)
Shiiiiit... (Golly!)

Now if we can make "Jive" the official ICAO approved radio language (and redo some words in the phonetic alphabet) then we'd make aviation interesting again!

S- Sierra is now Schlitz
M- Mike is now Mickey's
etc...

No response? Because there is no need for any response or arguement. It is a fact that it is a redundant and silly phrase and nothing to debate about. Besides, the mission has been accomplished: I got you guys thinking about it, you'll mention it in passing to your cockpit crewmember when you hear it on the radio, you'll start feeling silly every time you say "with you" and eventually your fellow pilots won't have to hear the useless phrase quite as often.

NO, I'll start to say it more just to pi$$ you off!!!!:p Who gives a $hit, I don't listen to what people say half the time. I'm to into my porn, book, sleeping, etc, to really care. Like someone said, drink a beer and buy yourself a hooker, you'll feel much better.

So Say what you want, there are bigger problems to worry about.

Oh BTW Captain Communication, if ATC knows we're "with you", then why bother checking in????

Do controllers know how small cockpits really are? What an impossible thing to do!

How many of you have hit your head on the ceiling after a controller says "Stand by".

Just reply "unable".

Cool......unable is quicker than doing a traffic search, checking to make sure the altitude requested does not have turbulence, or calling down line to get your request approved.......Thanks, I'll pass this on to the guys.

I'll remember that next time a controller asks me if I checked on.

You should exchange phone numbers with Captain 7. You two seem to have alot a common.

You know they won't be bitching about each others terminology!!!

A simple reward or bet.

A the beginning of a trip, offer the other pilot a free steak dinner if he or she completes the following task.

From the beginning of the trip until at the layover with the steak dinner the pilot must always use the correct word "ZERO", and not "OH" when communicating with ATC. If the pilot uses "OH" one time instead of "ZERO" the pilot does not receive the FREE steak dinner.

It shouldn't cost much.
