Has anyone applied online with a MACBOOK?? It won't let me attach my resume/cover letter with my mac. Just got this thing so i'm kinda new with using safari....any help?

i used safari and was able to upload the resume. I initially had an issue but figured out it was the internet in my hotel. I cut and pasted the cover letter again with no problems.
 
I entered the wrong password too many times and now I am locked out from entering my profile....what can I do to get into my profile.....Is there an HR # or a people department email that can fix this?
 
The head or our People Dept said this morning that there were over 1,000 apps received in the first several days. He said they were looking at approx 50 for a class asap.

Just a guess on my part, but they'll probably need somewhere near 75 pilots total this year and the same for next year. Since there is no pool of guys, they will probably create one for the near future.

How many with the preliminary invite to the job fair? I just sent mine in and am waiting for a response from JB with either a yay or nay regarding the official invite.

Any one else get a response from JB yet? Monday morning is the first session so I assume they should be contacting people fairly soon.
 
Sent mine in yesterday, no word. Invited by a current JB pilot. They apparently are takin their sweet a$$ time.

First I am a JB Pilot and with your " They apparently are takin their sweet a$$ time" comment you don't sound like the kind of guy we want at JB ...just my opinion.

Besides 3700 hrs and no 121....your not that competative.

If you look closer at his profile, it says CRJ 200/700/900. I am assuming Mesa or Skywest. I'd cut the guy some slack - the airlines haven't been hiring for a long while and some people (for whatever reason) just want to get back into the biz...

Thx man, :) I'm not worried about it, there are more than the average share of insecure blankety blanks on here, so it just kind of bounces off of me. :) I'm a victim of the layoff bug, just like tons of folks, and just like anybody else, I'm looking for a place I can hopefully spend a career.

Anyway, just to answer the question from earlier, I haven't heard anything about the job fair, and I sent my RSVP yesterday. Sure would be nice to hear so I could make some arrangements. The guy that is recommending me is going to meet me there so we can play some golf with an old chief pilot I used to work with. Should be a good time. Assuming I get the invite that is.

I do have 121 time and I do have about 1300 turbine PIC, my profile hasn't been updated in forever. According to the people I've talked to, I'm not at the top of the list, but I'm not at the bottom either. It's really just whose name they pull out of the hat. Good luck to all job hunters, though. It sucks to be a pilot right now........tons and tons and tons of applicants for every little job out there.

I'm a JetBlue pilot too. We need more of like him and less like you.

It was a freaking joke and so are you.

Hey I like working here....Its a great company.

Your just one of the A$$holes here who complains about everything and thats why you defend this guy....we don't need any more like you.
 
c'mon now... JB has what? 2000 pilots? If JUST 1/2 of them forwarded that email to ONE person they have 1000 RSVP's to sift through.

Anyway, the rumor I heard was 150 slots for immediate class dates for some 6 airframes they are getting back.

While I am hopeful, getting a RSVP or interview is akin to winning the lottery. So, best of luck to everyone!!!!

125-150 to be hired by the end of the year.

we got back 7 a-320's

we are also getting 4 E-190's

all will be on line by Oct

4 A-320's in 2011

5 E-190's in 2011

20 aircraft in 18 months.

we staff at 6.8 crews per aircraft

6.8 x 20 = 136 crews to be hired or 272 total new hire Pilots.

I haven't heard anything either. I talked to my contact today, and he talked to several of his buddies and none of their invites have heard anything either. Don't feel singled out, I don't know of anybody that's gotten one yet.

I could be wrong, but I hope I'm not. Keep those fingers crossed.

When did you send it in? I sent mine yesterday. Don't figure I'll hear anything until late today or maybe even tomorrow, if ever.

Was your confirmation for Monday or another day of the week? Can't figure out if they're going alphabetical or by day of event on sending confirmations out. Maybe they're done all together. Thanks for your post.

Just making sure I didn't screw up anything. I was expecting to see some type of confirmation.

Well it's time to head out on the lake and quit checking my email for a little while.
 
Hopefully I'll get the word for Friday. Anyone who got the invite know if ts suits or business casual like the last open house they had back in 06. Have a 4 day starting on Monday and trying to figure out if I have to pack he suit or just bring a shirt. Thanks.

It's business casual attire. I think they are sending invitations based on when the request was. So it looks like the Monday and Tuesday requests are being sent out now, with the rest of the week to follow. I have a friend that requested Thursday, RSVP'd within an hour of the JetBlue pilots receiving the invitation, and is well qualified.

Anyone get an email for later in the week like Thursday or Friday?
