They just start International yesterday, and already Wavey has big jet syndrome?

Why not wait and see how this goes. You guys are bangin your heads against Spirit and jetblue and it's not Omaha-Oklahoma City where profits are guaranteed.

CSeries...after they get the bugs worked out of it.

The 700 Max has an additional 500NM range at a minimum. The new engine is out performing so far in it's tests. It could easily make Brasil from the south or Western Europe from the northeast....now....I hope we would get better seats that the GK 15%roic evolve special...because I wouldn't want to do it!

With international service beginning- albeit slowly, most believe it is a matter of when, not if-

Conventional wisdom says 787-

What say those who might actually know what they're talking about?

Is the 787 becoming the jet it was supposed to be? Gremlins?

Airbus

What do you think?

Never happen. Incomparable with SothWest culture... All Widebody crews slamclick.

The 737-700max will have a range of close to 4,000nm.

BWI-LHR distance is 3158nm.

Look for SJU to be the main connection to South America.

SJU-Sao Paulo is 2751nm. SJU-Santiago, Chile is 3100nm.

All of northern South America will be served directly from FLL and HOU.

We may not need a larger plane when the Max arrives.

I actually just read that GK doesn't particularly like the evolve seating- except the extra revenue
He's looking for other options to get them more comfortable

I wouldn't be surprised that's the direction we go initially

But I do think we'll see a wide body in 10 years once we get used to international. Right now it would be too much.

If it happened within 5 I'd be surprised.

4.5 months ago you bet you'd be flying wide bodies in 5 years or you would voluntarily ban yourself from FI for a period of time. I'm waiting.

Not sure about your numbers, especially for ETOPS flying. The Max was weight restricted for a lot of outer island Hawaii routes to the west coast. For example, couldn't carry anywhere near a full load from LIH to the west coast. That was in the presentation the company made comparing NEO's and MAX's. NEO definitely could carry a much better payload.

Thats funny he told us before "what a better experience it was for the customer with the Elvolve." Total BS.

5 years for a bigger airframe will be about 5 years to late.
