Now the AWA guys have every right to voice their opinion and can do it through several different means...but mailing feces and rocks? Is AWA a monkey house at the zoo? Is this what the AWA pilots want representing them?

Good luck garnering support from other pilots with that kind of action...

While I'm no fan of ALPA, what irks me is the very reason USAPA was formed - to overturn the Nic award. And not only that, it was formed AFTER the Easties promised to abide by "binding neutral arbitration", which is really the fairest process in settling an integration.

In other words, there's a wee bit of an odor.... as the Brits are fond of saying.

As has been said many times, but somehow never believed here on FI.com, is that the Nic was really the last straw. It took something as horrendous as a no-fence loss of 18 years seniority to finally wake up the East pilots. And awaken they did.

ALPA has been piss-poor in its representation of US Airways pilots for a loooong time. This change was long over due.

But you can think of it however you'd like. Good luck to you in regards to AA; hope they can get through this period without furloughs.

Agreed, with at least the least that much of what you wrote. However, a few isolated acts such as that aren't representative of the west group as a whole. What about the east guy who shot at his neighbor, was that a way to garner support?

Take a few nuts out from either side, and what the east group is trying to accomplish is rather underhanded in my opinion. As a whole the east group is not as good as their word or signature. How would the entire world work if everyone acted the way the east has been? Just think if anyone were free to back out of deals and go back on their word just cause they got their feelings hurt or didn't agree with something. It would be chaos.

Just curious but is this a threat of physical violence? That's how it sounds. If you are referring to no west pilots flying with east pilots than that's different.

Oh btw I heard that some of the west pilots had scabbed at other airlines. Does anybody fly with them? Are they safe?? Just wondering.
