Well the west is already burning. Lots of downsizing out there. More to come next year. Your CEO is doing all the work for us.

becket
Just write what you think. I know you are burning up.
Just let in out.
Its ok.

M

Again, good luck with trying to get that lottery ticket.

M

How you can still refer to a seniority number at US Airways as a lottery ticket is beyond me. Number 1 at US Airways still has the misfortune of being employed by US Airways.

I think your threat of burning the airline to the ground is a hollow one. If you guys didn't need the job just as much as everyone else then you would have bailed when your pensions disappeared along with your work rules and wages.

...whether or not they should continue to utilize the same law firm led by lawyer Mr. Seemoney.

Mr. Seemoney?

What pray tell has taken a rational, reasonable professional who is capable of obtaining an ATP, and reduced him to an argument that is devoid or calm, reasonableness, or even the decency of common respect?

Its an honest and reasonable question that requires honest reflection.

You, dear sir, underestimate the value of seniority.

That's WAY more respectful than what he's usually referred to as.

Alot of wishful thinking here.
Good luck.

If the Nic would ever get forced on us by some court, you will see 3200 pilots burn this crap airline to bits. Your lottery ticket will be then worthless as your lousy airline was 1999.

Not one of us is going to yank gear to someone who did not even have his pilot license 1988.

Again, good luck with trying to get that lottery ticket.

Marty,

This statement just goes to show how little you actually understand the Nicolau award. Have you ever even bothered to read it, and look at how it will actually play out for your career when it is implemented? If you haven't, you should, because this train is going to move on with or without you.

Excuse me, but tell me why even ONE usair airplane moved the day after your ALPA reps gave your pension away? If you east guys didn't burn the house down then, you aren't now.

Not one of us is going to yank gear to someone who did not even have his pilot license 1988.

Then I take it not one usair pilot has applied to Southwest, or pretty near anywhere else for that matter. Ride the Titanic all the way down to the bottom!

?????????????????

becket is very confused. He has lots of questions and does not know where to start.

Give it some time and you will be able to clear your head and vent.

I am waiting

I know I had 16+ years' seniority when I left there and my "seniority" wasn't worth s#@t.

Should have taken your recall. You would be holding a block. Things change. But your seniority date does not. You on reserve out West? Most recalled pilots are holding blocks and without 65 advancement would be enormous.

Not Confused.
No Questions.
Not Venting.

Also, I'll start here:

GEAR UP BITCH!!!

HHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!! Damn I'm funny!

Nic Sticks. Go ahead and threaten to burn down the house, You're Illegal RICOeque terrorist threats are being ignored.

Be a Good Union Pilot.

Pretty impressive Mcdoodle. Only 16 years to get off reserve as a co-pilot. Why would anyone leave that paradise?!

becket

I knew you could do it.
Feel better.

Didn't the east agree to regional-style Stand Up overnights? (that the east was a bunch of "stand-up guys" was a HUGE misunderstanding). They hardly get to see the hotel room, why complain?

Not too sure about the standups, but I do know that their "premium flying " to Europe, as they are so fond of calling it; includes 24 hr overnights with no "long rate" rig. Just $1.99 /hr per diem while they take in the sights...... Nice, huh?

It's quite nice really.

Head for work about 4pm. One leg with an augmented crew means a 2 hour nap enroute. 24 hours off to sleep and decided the vital 'where to have dinner' conundrum. One leg home ( nap #2 ), land around 3pm and home in time for dinner.
24 hours later, repeat as needed.

Well, what does it pay?

So you guys had better, pre merger?

Also, if you guys don't want it, then why not express that to the company and they can fence this flying off....one problem solved :)

Your seniority is only as good as the company you work for. Case in point; what did your "seniority" buy you on 5/18/05 at AAA?

Here we go again with the PFT crowd talking about "buying" in order to leap frog years of service.

The PFT generation of the 90's love buying their way to the top at the expense of others who stuck it out and paid their dues.
