Okay, let's try this one more time.... The empty slots on the bid were held for pilots that are currently on Leaves (EVLOA, Mil, etc). They are senior to all of the recalls. .

I checked Catcrew, and those people are indeed listed in those slots. Odd that the bid award shows those as empty when they infact have pilots assigned to them.

And it looks like they enforced the lock for the remainder of the 190 guys, for some reason. Otherwise those 8 empty slots on the 737 in CLT wouldn't be empty. Also, where did the rest of FO Aikens (last guy on the 190) class go?

I wouldn't count on the seat lock being waived in the future. If it benefits the company for some reason, they'll do it, but I think it is a case by case thing. By that I mean pilot by pilot, not bid by bid.

He 1 of 7 on the west list in that class, the rest of them are bypassing the 190 for now. I agree with you on the seat lock and that is crap. Either enforce to all or just do away with it.

Don't think catcrew is a good indication of who is where and what not. There are too many held for trainings, etc that planning institutes, that alot of people are not in their bid postion.

Remember in addition to the seat lock, the company can hold a pilot from training for up to 12 months I believe it is, as long as they are pay protected.

for example, bid positions on this new bid show total of 355 on the bus, but option 63 for Jan shows 379, but not all of those are available. due to some being out on some sort of leave, or in training I would assume, but not yet done.

As bad andy pointed out, think it was him, they ran the bid, and kept slots open for those returning, anything left over, a 190 guy was able to move out. So there were 4 spots open I guess? and 4 recalled guys were able to move out.

Its a living object, which the company has 12 months from the bid effective date to play with where people are. So consider training float and hold etc etc etc, they will leave people where they are until they get caught up...

Heard one or more "poolies" got a call for a class in Jan, any truth? By the way, any ideas for a part time job while on reserve? I only ask because we'll be making about 50% less than our previous job.

Correct. Poolies had to "re-interview" in PHX on Tuesday and Wednesday for Jan 3 class. Not sure if ALL poolies were called or made it to the interview on those two days.

I'm curious to see realistic retirement numbers. Where would a 2011 new hire be in 10 years assuming zero growth?
