Can a little copilot make that decision?
Oh yeah. This little one can.

Wow, while you all fight over it, the owner of pro pilot world wrote a letter to his friends on the MEC to help get the situation resolved. Way to go, UAL78!
perfect...then it is working. do you really think that the JS committees at the various UAX did not think to simply ask? I cant tell you how many times they have requested this be changed. it became apparent that they would not listen to the UAX pilots, so hopefully they will listen to UAL pilots. time will tell.

Mark doesn't like Frank. So Mark punches Joe in the face. Joe punches Mark back, puts him in the hospital for a month and Frank doesn't know anything about it.
I think I'm going to write a nursery rhyme about it, sing it to my kids so they can learn how to handle conflict better.
For the record I do not agree with my own words. I was pissed at the arrogance of using the jumpseat as a weapon/political tool and pissed at the apathy of UAL’s management.
That made no sense.
You should be working with the UAL ALPA jumpseat chairman about this and if the pilot groups of the UAX carriers would utilize their own jumpseat guy then with time it can be respectfully resolved.
How about you UAX Capt's grow a PAIR and check the gate area for jumpseaters? YOU ARE THE CAPTAIN CORRECT?
Who says the UAL pilots haven't done anything or haven't tried to get the company to fix the problem?...
As opposed to FIXING the problem? Sounds like they did grow a PAIR....and it is pissing you off......:uzi:
Fly2AK,
You haven't heard anything about the UAL MEC insisting on having J/S priority on UAX flights have you?
This is a company issue, what do the UAL pilots have to do about this glitch, did we create it?.
I'm on your side here. I was asking because some of the UAX folks claim that's what the UAL pilots wanted. It was a simple question. I'll take it as a no.
Guess you don't commute. For the record...as a Captain at SkyW...and I speak for many of my colleagues here; nobody from United will be denied a jumpseat.
However I would appreciate it if the "down-talking" of us RJ guys would stop. We did not destroy the industry as many of you like to tell us we did. We're all a product of our own environment.
UAL pilots didn't vote on this, or want to have priority on UAX over other UAX pilots. !

I can't tell you how much we appreciate it. I'm working with as many as I can to make sure we police this thing so no UAL pilot misses a flight. Clearly our leadership is out of step with the majority.
I dont' know what happened with this whole thing except that there is serious dissent within our own leadership over this.
