Yes it is stupid. The jumpseat agreements were always between pilot groups. The problem the express carriers are having is with UAL management. (by the way who is not having problems with UAL management.)....If this letter gets the situation rectified....Is it still stupid?
Gee, if they're this mad over this, wait till the UA guys start flowing back to the LEFT SEAT of those little jets!!

This is the only way the UAL pilots will listen and trust me they will listen and It will get fixed!

Holding a jumpseat agreement hostage for political purposes opens a huge can of worms.
