Unless it's severe clear I don't have the nerve to have them wonder boys fly me home anyway.

So the weight of the aircraft determines ability huh?

I have flown heavier stuff than you my friend - and the worst trait in any pilot is arrogance.

Settle down.

Respectfully,

fv

P.S. any of the express pilots I have J/S'd on in my old life would use the term '...those wonder boys...' not sure if '...them wonder boys...' is considered educated articulation.

Who drafted this letter? Does anyone know?

Why do you ask?

My impression from the email that it was attached to is that the letter was drafted and agreed to by all of the JSC from the UAX carriers (with the possible exception of Trans States).

They have been negotiating to try to get this changed for over a year to no avail.

Hope that helps.

Dan is correct.

Trans States is happy with Status Quo.

Well this is one way to "fix the glitch". Hopefully it does the trick.

Then apparently TSA pilots actually have a brain. Not a wise fight to pick. And why in God's name did your MECs actually work together with the GoJet group and sign a joint letter with them? I would be ashamed to have my pilot group listed along with them on a signed letter.

Trans Sates and Go-jets have priority within the UAL system regardless of who walks up first for a UAL flight. Why isn't TSA showing their integrity?

Why isn't TSA showing their integrity?

I would say that the ones lacking integrity are the pilots standing shoulder to shoulder with GoJet pilots.

That's kind of like saying standing next to someone who PFT'd shows a lack of integrity, yet you expect people to agree with you.

I'm not advocating a jumpseat war, but this reminds me of a jumpseat war between SkyWest and United back in 2000. United changed SkyWest's priority so it was equal to all non-united/UAX. The SkyWest pilots were first come first serve just as an AA, DL, NW pilot would be.

SkyWest pilots returned the favor and started to allow offline pilots who showed up first into their jumpseats. The "jumpseat war" was affective in getting the priorty changed. This was back when the EMB-120 was flying many commuters in their jumpseat into gems like SBA, SAN, SBP, MRY, etc.

I think this is a bad idea. Problems with management do not necessitate fighting with other pilots. I will not advocate the denial of jumpseats whether it's a bluff or not.

not that a captain like's even taking gojets guys anyway and would let this happen, but do ya know gojets pilots have priority over the JS on other UAX planes.....as in bumping a guy who actually flies that plane.

unbelievable

The fact is, mainline pilots feel as though they own the regional seats....Both in back and in the cockpit....For years Delta has tried to get priority on Connection seats....

Looks like the regional folks are getting fed up with that entitlement attitude....

It would not surprise be one bit if the United MEC likes the current situation and won't push to change it unless something like this is done....

Why do you continue to make this stuff up? Seems the only one who believes you is, well, you. I understand your fear and frustration being stuck at asa, but face it school boy, you're stuck, deal with it. Regionals are being dropped like the parsley on a plate at a truck stop diner, and your job is now not so secure.

Gee, if they're this mad over this, wait till the UA guys start flowing back to the LEFT SEAT of those little jets!!

...won't happen as much this time, does UAL even have a wholly owned? Didn't Eagle end the flow back? And lots of the deal last time were J4J (Jets For Jobs) seats and since everyone is cutting capacity there will be no new RJ's.

If this does not get fixed, when the flow back guys are trying to commute the gate will deny them and give the seat to a real mainline pilot even if it is on their "own" carrier.
