What have I said that indicates I "hate" SWA???? I haven't bashed you or called you names. I have called fowl on SWA somehow thinking when they merge with someone and thinking it's a win/win deal to be stapled. I have pointed out the fact that anything can happen to ANY airline down the road, none of us are invulnerable, yet when I do I get jumped on as a SWA "hater". Nothing could be further from the truth, but the constant attacks on others here by SWA folks is certainly worth countering with a different viewpoint that at least tries to keep in perspective that we all live in glass houses and throwing stones in this industry is a bad idea.
Do they pay pilots at ALK in stock? Or do they get stock options or stock as part of their retirement?
None of the above...
Dan,
You're trying too hard to be nice. As OYS stated, let's just watch how this SLI thing works out between them and Airtran. It will get interesting, and they will soon eat a piece of humble pie. I can't wait to watch.

I love the fact that you have no idea what you are talking about. Watch and learn Gen. You're going to be amazed.

I'm starting to think though...
With all that is going on with the FAPA/Republic pilots, Bedford filing to rescind the Single Operating Certificate, and not following the arbitrated list, and what's still happening with USAPA/AWA ALPA...
Maybe the General is actually on our side after all. I'm not sure he would give that kind of advice unless he wanted to bring harm to them.
I believe AAG employees do have a 401K match with ALK stocks.

Due to the recent sharp drop in energy prices, Capstone Investments is raising their 2011 LUV projections from $0.52/share to $0.75/share. To put that into numbers, Capstone is predicting a $1.2 billion operating profit and $591 million net profit for 2011. For 2012, Capstone is predicting a net profit over $1 billion and a year end cash balance over $6 billion due to lower energy prices and the benefits of the Airtran acquisition.
Congrats to SWA

GL, you have hate in your blood for swa. It's ok though. What are you going to do when swa and AT reach a fair deal? Who will hate on then? You say we are cocky. Have you checked your self? It's all good Gen. Cocky? Every pilot is cocky, on some form or fashion. You my friend are defined as ignorant and self serving. You should lead by example not hatred.
No I am not. You will be amazed, since you and others on here are unfamiliar with how the rest of the industry, and SLIs work. Your union will have to give in big time in order to NOT get arbitration. If your NC would do that, then they would get hung by the rest of you, so they won't do that. That will lead them to the arbitration option, and very recent awards do not favor what you guys suggest. So, I think you had better prepare for the surprise of your life, because it just won't be pretty. It really will be amazing, for the Airtran group. You guys have got to bring that cockiness level down, and this will help.
Bye Bye---General Lee
GL, if Delta was acquiring AAI, and you had AAI posters telling you that they were hoping/expecting for relative seniority in the SLI, then your reaction would not be unlike SWA posters'.
Go fly a trip or something, go **** your Wife. Leave US alone. :cartman:
Fly,
I don't see anyone on here from AirTran talking SLI expectations, much less calling for or expecting anything. What IS happening is the constant berating of AirTran pilots. Other than that we all love each other.
Cheers.
I did. Ty, specifically.

And it would appear that the SWA folks are the recipients of the beratings. Just look on the last few pages, courtesy of gl, oys, et al.
Speaking personally, I have plenty of love. Having love to give does not preclude me from defending SWA pilots against accusations of elitism.

I haven't discussed my SLI expectations since the MC/NC asked both pilot groups to refrain from it.
Ty lets not go down this road, you just did this a few weeks ago its under the "SWA/Tranny jumpseat thread" post #462 and #463. :cartman:
