GK has told investors that operations will be merged.

Any arbitrated list will be implemented or SW faces lawsuits from investors who
Have invested based on AT/SW operations being fully integrated.

GK is not going to have the company face financial disaster so that some SW pilots
gain seniority at the expense of the AT pilots.

Who is telling you this,alpa?

Truth be told, nobody knows how this will shake out...probably GK has a strategy if the negotiations break down (I would hope so), he has stated that a negotiated settlement is desired...if it goes to arbitration...well he may just discuss other options with the NC/MC next wednesday...the challenge is integrating a younger group with an older group...also what do you do with the junior AT CPs and the senior SW FOs...I don't envy the negotiators...I think that most AAI pilots realize that they are in an enviable position and they will be reasonable when it comes to SLI...

I have found that most of us at AT are already onboard. We know that this will be great for everyone and we want to accept and begin operating with the SWA culture as soon as possible. Many have been reading and trying to adopt the SWA culture. I have had many captains already taking on the warrior spirit as well as thinking g of others first. These ideas are not foreign to us, just a bit rusty to a small few. Now that our old management is gone many including myself feel a breath of fresh air when we come to work. I thank you SWA for this opportunity to be able to grow personally and professionally.

Common sense young grass hopper. That and a masters degree in finance.

For SWAPA to pull what USAir did you would have to have the cooperation of your company. This strategy worked for Doug Parker he could play each pilot group against the other and prevent any jcba because the groups weren't integrated as the law requires. But ask yourself - now how is that strategy working? GK is smart enough to learn from history and he will never allow this to happen. If SWAPA tried this I would guess he would start growing airtran at your expense to put pressure upon the union. GK would say you disobeyed the process agreement now watch me disobey the agreement that I have with you in regard to where upcoming growth goes.

It is nice. Been in your shoes before. Bad mgt sucks.

Max,

It works both ways.. you may want to operate separately...at least until the fabled growth begins...

Most importantly, SWA would likely lose a LOT of money on a deal like that in this environment, giving a fuel-efficient aircraft to their competition

A airplane that your Director of Mx calls - junk. An Airplane that would have bankrupted Tranny if they didn't buy "insurance" from RR, cus the engines suck. A plane where they are robbing parts off of spare ones parked in the desert, to keep the tranny ones flying? This airplane?
