I completely disagree.

SWA has always chosen people enjoyable to work with and will continue to do so.

Although the five year upgrades would eventually be something of the past, SWA has never been financially better because of Gary.

And that is the good news to many of us.
That may be so. I've certainly enjoyed flying with people here.

But surely even you will admit that the blind worship of the company on SWALife is downright creepy at times. As for me, it really doesn't matter what Gary and his buddies do now. I just show up, do my job, have a good time, pick up a few easy premium trips for the money, and then go home.

Okay, I will admit that I keep up with the contract negotiations. Max pay to the last day, I say. :)

Wow, we gotta modern day Dr. Joyce Brothers here..... Except she's a HE, and He eats disgusting quesadillas at the Lubbock La Quinta....

I was a bit skeptical when I first heard that SWA and AT were going to merge, but I hoped that it would be a "good" merger for everyone involved. I thought the Cornies had watched a couple before their's, consisting of one "right" way ( DL/ NW) and one "wrong" way (US/AWA). After watching the results of each, I was sure the Corndogs would figure out the way to strengthen their group, and make it an even tougher competitor.

But nooooooooooo. They had to pull shenanigans, get greedy, and then treat the other side like second rate pilots. That's why I revist this topic Joyce. I don't like bullies. And I know many AT guys here in ATL. They can't wait to commute to OAK and LAS when they eventually upgrade back into their previous seat....

And the best part Joyce is that you and Bubba can't see the WRONG that was imposed on the AT guys/gals. I hope you both eventually do. Stop the excuses! Exorcise the demons! Hallelujah!

Genny,

Honest question...how long are you going to keep posting the same items year after year, after year? Don't you get tired of posting the same old BS everyday...for 20 thousand post? That's the psychotic part that you plainly don't understand. Oh, and hint...it doesn't take a PHD to see how strange you've become over the years. Adding NOTHING of value. Nothing.

Why do you care? You never gave a rats arse about the AirTran guys before. As a matter of fact, you looked down on them in ATL for years. Your concern is a complete joke....and pretty much everyone sees that for what it is. EXCEPT YOU!

Debating merits? Please. You have ZERO credibility, even though you try to feign some outrage.

It's a complete fabrication to allow you another anti-Southwest topic. That's it. No substance.

What flavor Kool-Aid are you guzzling? You can't get enough. You are actually choking! It looks like you are choking on your own vomit! Yikes!

Somebody help SWAdude! He's choking! Oh wait, he surrounded by AT guys.... Never mind..... So, who's got his eulogy? I do, here it goes:

"SWAdude....was....uhhhh.... A dude....I think? He was.... Uhhhhh.... Passionate about his company... And.....uhhhh...I think he was a dude, but maybe he wasn't. Usually that problem only happens with his best buddy Redflyer. Anyways......Amen!"

Representing SWA on this forum, and I said something like that, I would be concerned about what could happen to me with our social media policy. Does Delta have one too? Never mind, I know they do. And I have recently learned that it is possible for anyone to know ones true identities on these forums.

Sleep well.

Thats all I have done, and most all I know who have been here for over 20 years now. Why would things change?
You've been here longer than me, so you would know more about it than me, but the impression I always had was that this company was like a big family always looking out for each other and taking care of the employees. Now I know better; the creepy people on SWALife worship management, but most of us know that the company couldn't care less about individuals. You're a number, an asset to be used, and thrown away if it helps the bottom line.

Nothing has changed for the worse. Herb was fun. But things are better now than they were when I got hired over 20 years ago.

Don't get caught up in the folklore.

Wow! Really? I never said I represent DL, and this is an anonymous board. Sorry, you're ridiculous. Where again does it say I fly for DL anywhere on my avatar? It doesn't. I'm just a big fan. Have a great night!

Well you are not screwed if you are not a DL pilot. But if you are, which granted you may not be, your narrow minded, narcissistic view of life has never processed that we are all potential customers too.

Your name, and these posts, could be troublesome.

Just saying.

Oh whatever! I could be a SWA customer, and now I'm crying.... Gimme a break. If you can't debate, then let it go. This is an anonymous board that has fictitious names. If you can't take a little "ribbing" then that is "troublesome." It sounds like you guys can't handle the truth. And unlike Redflyer with the Corndog 737 on his avatar, there isn't anything representing DL on mine. I'm just a big fan.

So you are a fraud?

I won a state championship in debate when I was in high school. You don't do anything close to debate who ever you may be.

So, you're a "Master" debator? Congrats on winning State in Highschool. I was dating girls back then.

Anyways, you are taking this waaaaaaay too seriously. You and CaptMack. Just keep saying to yourselves "anonymous" and "rumor board." I think you both will just cool down and understand what this site actually is, which is entertainment.

Keep practicing that so when you have to account for yourself it will sound as good as you can make it while you discover the truth about social media policies.

Will you please just leave? You have single handedly ruined this site. All by yourself. Thanks for adding no value and nothing but personal attacks. It's sad that you find that entertaining.

Make 20k your curtain call and move on..

If you think I work for a certain airline, great. I certainly didn't put that on my avatar. I am a big fan of one, and I never slam it.

If I were you, I'd PM Redflyer and warn him about his picture on his avatar. He seems to be representing them. And you've got your company name in your screen name. Be careful what you say. I have neither, I'm just a big fan.

This was for the SWA and AAI guys to not give in to the divisiveness whoever starts it. Please do not engage and prolong the non sense, and uselessness waste of time and energy.

Simply ignore the haters and move on and let the merger negativity just fade away. Once you stop engaging in the back and forth it will go away.

I am disappointed this thread is 3 pages.

So do you or do you not work for Delta Airlines. You have said you are a pilot for Delta Airlines for years now.

Is lying a good position for a strong argument in debate? Are you debating fairly Jenny? Your mantra is you are here to have a good, healthy debate but how does one do that with a liar?

You not only represent your company. You do your friends, families and all associated with you. There are legal and moral issues at play here.

What? Thanks Judge Judy. Ok, here goes. I am a Corndog. Are you happy now? I am actually Herb.

Btw, I found this article that may be of some help, now that you know I am a Corndog:

By STEVEN GREENHOUSE
JANUARY 21, 2013 WSJ

As Facebook and Twitter become as central to workplace conversation as the company cafeteria, federal regulators are ordering employers to scale back policies that limit what workers can say online.

Employers often seek to discourage comments that paint them in a negative light. Don?t discuss company matters publicly, a typical social media policy will say, and don?t disparage managers, co-workers or the company itself. Violations can be a firing offense.

But in a series of recent rulings and advisories, labor regulators have declared many such blanket restrictions illegal. The National Labor Relations Board says workers have a right to discuss work conditions freely and without fear of retribution, whether the discussion takes place at the office or on Facebook.

Actually has given good Delta guys a bad name. And that's the unfortunate nature of his rants. If there was a SW guy acting like that, I'd be embarrassed...and yes, I'd be sending them Private Messages. And once again, after being painted in a corner, he tries to distance himself from being a Delta pilot. Just as bizarre.

Go ahead and press to test this one Jenny. Please. Keep going. Prove me wrong. Please.

Read your social media policy. And take this article with you when you think its worth the fight with massive regrets for your highly antagonistic, offensive behavior you call debate.

Very bizarre.

On another site I did just that. And the guy backed off. Saw the light I suppose.

You guys are crazy. And both of you "represent" The Corndog with your name or avatar picture.

Re-read the article SWAdude. I'll see you in the HOU crew lounge tomorrow. I've got 6 legs believe it or not. HOU-DAL-LBB-DAL-LBB-DAL-MAF. I can't wait!

That was just weird.

It may be weird be your perspective that SWA is bulletproof is laughably ignorant. SWA has done a good job, almost as good as Pan Am in the 60's, Braniff in the 70's (they were the most profitable airline at one point just prior to deregulation). Realistically? SWA is vulnerable to being squeezed from below by VA, JetBlue, Spirit and Frontier and from above from three strong legacies.

We all can be as lucky as you

Hawaiian Airlines is untouchable .

Your very lucky Dan .

I actully think he fits the Delta pilot well .

I do not agree with a lot of what GL writes . He does post some good articles .

Some of you guys are getting upset with GL , when your the ones that keep bantering with him .

He is using Mohammed Ali Technique of the rope a dope .

Even Bill and Scoot don't feed his need for a reply .

It's going to be a nice day , get out and enjoy it. :)

What is also weird is how you chose to get on the SWA bashing bandwagon not even closely representing what I wrote.

No business is bullet proof. But some are much stronger than others and our balance sheet is stronger than it has ever been while others are still largely weaker than they were prior 9/11 or the Gulf War so when it comes to weathering the storm, we could even better than before.

And maybe you should be happy about this factoid since there is legitimate rumors going around that Hawaiian might very well be the next acquisition.

Not in GLs corner because he brings it on himself always but the SWA Cheerleaders swarm on him and feed the troll and in turn, make themselves look a little petulant.

No offense Red!

I would ask you to read the first two posts on this thread and determine who is doing what.

If loyalty is something you find to be the same as a Cheerleader, then I am a VERY proud Cheerleader.

So the Hawaiian wide body Captains would all be placed at the top of the
seniority list, with the SW narrow body pilots under them?

That's probably how an arbitrator would see it.

Maybe a good idea for Southwest to avoid an impartial arbitration again
because they aren't going to like the results.
