Actually, I think PSA had apu's in theirs. AWis. didn't. Don't know how all of the Aspen/Horizon/Lone Star/Great Plains birds were configured.

Lone Star didn't actually operate the 328 those were delivered with the transition to Aspen Mountain Air. Several of the aircraft that Air Wis had were certified with the APU but the ZW pilots were never trained to use it.

Personally, Ill take CA on the 1900 and fly all the Yooper destinations rather than going to F/O on the jet.

You always keep your standing bid as 1900 CA or 328 CA until the last 1900 get sold off. That should help you continue visiting those prime locations on The Yooper Riveria.

With all the "new" 328's requiring $1 million a piece in upgrades/maint' I am not holding my breath. Ive heard the rumor that "the next 1900 upgrade is going to be the last." Well since Ive heard that, there have been 3 upgrade classes so I don't believe at all that the 1900 upgrades are going to end anytime soon. The bid's today have 35 captains listed on it so they are short since there are 45 FO's on the 1900. Upgrades will continue for the next few month's. There is alot of training going on in February with new-hire and 1900 upgrades. Let's all just keep hopeing that Midwest continues to hire Skyway guys. Skyway is still hands down the absolute best regional to be at for upgrades. Keep it real homey's.

Here's a hypothetical for you. Let's say that I wanted to come back to Skyway. Assuming that they would have me back (I left on good terms), what training would I have to go through? I was an FRJ FO hired in August '04 and left in June '05 (afraid of the furlough, see where it got me), so I never did a 12 month check, thus it is expired. If I were put back into the FRJ, what training would be required? Recurrent training? Full training? IOE?

I haven't persued this option yet but more and more think that this may be the way to go (again, assuming that they would have me back), especially if I could start flying again soon.

One thing that would make a difference is if you started in the new hire class of the aircraft that you didnt fly. Could be anything from just a RGS and PC to the whole thing. But what do I know, this is just what I saw after the last 9/11 recalls and my memory is about as good as the powercart was in Lansing.
