We had an owner at my last job who would show up very early, sit in the FBO lounge until we escorted him to the a/c and make a beeline for the lav as soon as he was aboard. Every time! :erm:

Uh... no. We had a real honedt to goodness lav with a sliding door and all. The unit is the same as used in the Citation Ultra, but the remove/replace geometry is much more remover/replacer friendly.
 
Funny, in indoc a looong time ago I was told that Santulli had personally kicked her out of the program. Had something to do with verbal abuse of a flight crew over a weather delay in Aspen. Must have been BS if she only left recently.

You heard right. She got the boot from the Godfather. Came back after her little stint in lock-up on a Marquis Card. Good riddance if you ask me...
 
Wow, pilots are their own worst enemies. You get back what you put out. Pilots seem to think they are devoid of putting out negative vibes. Losing customers is a direct result. But so many future customers are in line to get in it doesn't matter does it...?
 
They didn't LOSE her. She was told to leave... Why does this have to keep being repeated? Why do people join a thread, read half way and then start posting before reading to the end of the thread making comments that are no longer relevant thus dragging crap out?

While we are sharing anecdotes, during my short stay at NJA before the hatchet fell..We had a semi well-known NBA player onboard with all his 4 homeys (in the CE560XL..not really a 'stand-up' cabin for normal-sized people). On ramp at airport..last minute WX ground stop to destination; 2+hr delay. Instead of going back into FBO, nearby bar..wherever to wait it out, they literally had us burn the APU the entire time while they drank and played cards in back. Partner and I took turns going into FBO to stretch legs while this happened. They were continuously complaining about the delay, etc...and I thought: "why in f*ck are you electing to stay in this tiny-ass frieking airplane the entire time?!" And yes- FBO did offer to set up private room for them at no charge as it was a slow day otherwise.
I got the impression that the answer to my question was that they enjoyed the "image..bling/bling-ness" of sitting in a private jet. A G5 maybe..but an XL?!..pretty sad.

C'mon - it's a crib with wings...... Nice pimped ride... What's the point of staying in the jet if nobody can SEE YOU in the jet? There ain't no top-down viewing opportunity in the XLS. Yeah, that doesn't make sense.

I haven't been privvy to any changes internally for 2 yrs now, but maybe they wrote in a clause..at least to the few new owners they've brought on..that provides for that in such a situation. Ironic; now that I'm back in the airline world, they have this 3hr rule, etc.. to protect the pax and guarantee them a deplaning opportunity in the event of an extended delay.

Perhaps the frax need a 3 hr rule for the pilots... :)

Here we go again...Since airlines do a certain procedure, it's always better for everyone else to follow along...Same old song and dance from airline guys.
