Dude. That was last December. Either way it is funny.
You're right . . . . and it is funny, I'll give you that, too.
I'm trying to remember who that is in your pic, Kmart, former USAir CEO?

I've heard for 6 months that Q1 2010 SWA will buy AirTran. However, I just can't imagine the train wreck that will insue.
I'd like to start the bidding with pure staple
Gup
All I can say is WOW!
The greed of the AirTranny CAs commenting on this board is astounding. A few months ago you were literally begging for a staple, and now that you got your wish you are pretending that you don't really want it just to get MORE!
Sad and pathetic guys.
Over and over you advocated a "vote" between the pilot groups. Now you are saying we should just take a staple? I would have more respect for your point of view if you were at least consistent. Now, I'm convinced you are just trying to stir the pot with a feeble attempt at flame baiting. At least Instructor Dude is somewhat entertaining.........
I still advocate a vote, and from the looks of this thread a staple vote would easily pass.
All SWA pilots should print out and copy this entire thread. It provides some real insight into AirTran pilots' TRUE frame of mind, and not just their negotiating faces at the table.
The greed of the AirTran guys on this board would be hilarious if it wasn't so sickening.

I don't think so, Chief, anymore than you "represent SWA pilots, regardless of their face at the table". Who even says those posts were made by AirTran pilots, and in what context? If they are AirTran pilots, they sure aren't indicative of our Captains, which are the majority of pilots. All SWA pilots should print out and copy this entire thread. You mean as opposed to your greed? You are advocating displacing AirTran's 900 Captains so that you can upgrade years ahead of your current projections? :erm:The greed of the AirTran guys on this board would be hilarious if it wasn't so sickening.
My "TRUE frame of mind" right now is that I'm arguing with an idiot with no obvious understanding of union representation, labor negotiations or law that is not involved with either airline.
You are right about not having any involvement with either airline. I'm just a casual observer whose become somewhat fascinated by the facade you AirTran CAs are displaying, when it's obvious that you would gladly take a seat on the SWA seniority list anywhere.
This thread is a gold mine for the people currently discussing this. It's like a poker player getting a peak at what the other guy is holding.
My personal opinion obviously doesn't matter, but if it were up to me, I would staple the AirTran pilots to the SWA list. That way, only a very small group of AirTran pilots (AT CAs) wouldn't be happy, but they would accept it regardless.
Any other form of list integration runs the risk of pissing off thousands of pilots and potentially destroying the culture of the new airline.
Poker games aren't decided by an arbitrator. Have fun watching from the sidelines, both groups will do just fine.
A staple will likely be the decision because it is obviously the fairest thing to do and the one think that does the least amount of harm to the entire group.
