No reason I should suffer because you didn't get hired by DAL.DALS "proposal" gave ALL DAL pilots a Bump in seniority and ALL NWA pilots a Loss in seniority. Of course the DAL boys think its fair. The NWA sides "proposal" will be just as extreme yet in the opposite. Once it comes out the DAL boys will be biching just like the NWA side is now.
My guess is that a negotiated list will come out and these extreme proposals will make the negotiated list look "livable" to both sides. Then both MECs will be able to sell the negotiated list they decided on much easier because they can compare it to the original "proposals".

Well of course NW's opening position is DOH, just like Delta's was to create a ratio that stapled 500 NW pilots to the bottom of the list. These are opening positions. I'm no expert on negotiations, but I would assume both sides start on polar opposites, then end up somewhere in the middle.
Can we all (Delta and NW brothers) recognize this and not let this thread turn into another bloodbath of grenades being lobed back and forth?
