Its not a place for people who do not like to work hard or think certain jobs are beneath them. We sweat like dogs, get our hands dirty and our muscles torn up. .

No offense but if you really think being a pilot for NJA entails sweating, getting dirty, or tearing muscles you haven't been in the real working world......

Or you haven't been in a gym in a few decades

Loading bags on a GIV or V is sweaty and sometimes injurious. You wouldn't believe what we bring on board sometimes!

or pushed a couple 1200#'s pallets to the back of DA-20 on a hot summer day at Brownsville.

guessing your a captain. I have injured and torn my shoulder 3x times in 10 years. Don't know where you work, but in the summer the FO's sweat their ass off.

Some Captains do, too.

Although, when I finally fly with Terry, he'll do the sweating, I'll do the buying...

Several customers move the winter home southbound and vice versa in the summer. Sometimes I think I am flying a UHaul and guess who gets to spend an hour on both ends loading and unloading the airplane :(

None taken. But I do find it necessary to remind you that I do know what sweat and work is. I was an enlisted Marine 8 years, I have worked as a pick and shovel ditch digger for EMC, and worked in a warehouse too (I'd unloaded many more pallets than yip). And so when I say we sweat, we sweat. Try 3 SUVs of bags in the summer on the ramp in TUS.

Pretty sure he's been there and done that before 1/15/10.

That being said, loading bags isn't fun. I dang near bought it coming off the ladder once myself.

After years of loading bags hunched over under a hot, leaky engine, loading up the G is nicer because I can do it standing up. But the volume and tetris games you have to play is where you end up hurting yourself.
The guys in the X have it rough. After loading up the plane and all the other crap, sitting in the smallest cockpit I've ever seen in a jet (looks even tighter then my ex---the BeechJet) for 4, 5, 6 hrs....that must suck. They can have their M.92 cruise. 6 hrs at .92 is the same as 6 hrs at .88
Getting back to the thread....make sure you know what you are getting into before applying here. Inheriting an airplane from someone who is above getting dirty to clean the thing up is a sure pi$$er.

Same here! Terry, be warned!

You're loading next time I see you too, junior bag beyotch! Maybe so I can lock you in the baggage compartment until you agree to picket Omaha in May....:D

......or steel baskets full of windshields uphill in a DC-3. [Yes, I know; "uphill both ways through waist-deep snow".]

Hey..............at least they picked a warm month for the picket. :)

It should be very comfortable in Miami Dec 2-4. Can we put you down on the list for Art Basel?

You'll get a bitchin' lapel pin out of the deal. My LAS poker chip pin got several comments today in Teeterhole...

I know this is a dumb question: what is Art Basel?
