You know what's ridiculous? That we have to talk about this here instead of the NJASAP board to have any contact with the active pilot group; outside of a couple of good folks that still talk to us on the "furloughed" red headed step child board. Normally I would say that having this conversation in a public forum would be a bad idea. Unfortunately due to the infinite wisdom of the NJASAP higher ups we were deemed either unworthy or a threat or both, and therefore left no choice in the matter.

what do you expect coming from people who really do think that they are better than others. People who are too scared to get away from their main group of insiders. People who won't talk to people that don't have the same opinions.

yes its sad

very sad

I know 2 of us out of my class have resigned (think there were 14-16 in our class) Couple have also went to JB so doubt they'll come back. So maybe 4-6 won't be returning?

I was in your class and am now at JB. I'll honestly have to see what a new contract would offer at NJA, otherwise I'm sticking around at JB. Hard to walk away from a six figure income and being at home in my own bed every night now. Did an internship at UAL back in college too and am hoping for an interview there soon. Congrats on the new gig bro! Hope all is well.

Thanks. Saw you had some flights to the Carribean a while ago. Looks like things are goin good for you over there ...

Even if I hadn't resigned I wouldn't return. Money and schedule are too good here. Especially by the time NJA recalls.. Now just have to overcome the ridiculous cost of living!!,

In November the EMT is going to decide whether or not to recall is the way I understand it.

I'll make a guess... does it have something to do with application windows opening up as well as the kick-off to the Holiday travel season?

Understand it based on what? Some more info as to what has been said that would make any active pilot think this would be nice. Especially when we have had no such communication from NJASAP. Thanks.

I wonder if wonder boy realizes how long it takes to put a pilot through training. Make a decision in November an they'll be lucky to have the FIRST guy/gal on the line for the Super Bowl.

Anybody seen the 2005 CBA interpretive transcripts yet???

Good thing the pay begins immediately upon recall.

Good luck to all.

If there's any truth to that, it's good news.

Let's take a hypothetical look at the timeline for such a recall to happen.

Nov 04- EMT decides to initiate recalls
Nov 07- Recall letters are Fed-Ex'd out
Nov 08- Pilots receive their recall letters starting the 14 day clock.
Nov 22- Pilots response to company due (14 days after getting letter)
Dec 02- Indoc starts in Columbus (still 2 weeks or shorter?)
Dec 13- Indoc finished (now too late in Dec to start any FSI training)
Jan 06- Start FSI aircraft initial (2 weeks maybe?)
Jan 22- Finish Initial training & LOFT
Jan 27- Released to IOE

I don't think that things will move this quickly, it's just an example.

Question 1- Is there a new shortened Indoc for recalls and is it approved by the FAA / POI yet ?

Question 2- Will NJ put guys back into the fleets they were previously in?

Question 3- If you go back to your old fleet, can NJ just run you through an FSI recurrent or do you need the whole new initial training class?

Question 4- If your fleet is gone (ala the U-boat or honeywell hawker) can NJ put recalls into the Global fleet. The contract only mentions that new-hires can't be put into over 40k aircraft. Disclaimer- I hate international flying.

Question 5- Are there enough IOE / Training Capt's to handle the increased IOE.

Question 6- How many empty legs are you doing and how long will it take guys to get their 10 or 20 bounces to complete IOE?

What say you?
