No I don't. I wasn't there. But I choose not to live in fear, and I try to be optimistic. I'm working on getting out of here, but if something happens before then, I'll deal with it at that time.

I, too, am doing everything I can to improve my employment. I think the vast majority of Pinnacle employees are doing what they can to find better employment.

Your attitude, gojo, is healthy, rational, and reasonable. With luck, it should serve you well as you plan your escape. Good luck!

You do realize that all of this is exactly what happened at Comair (starting after the merger)?! In fact they were still replacing Comair "good ol' boys" with Delta associates right up to 60 days prior to the closure announcement.

Yes I realize that is what happened to comair. But comair did not have a payscale capped at 12 and 4 years locked in for the next 7 at least. There is no way his place gets shut down like comair delta would be stupid to do it, where would they place that flying, at more expensive carriers?

Freedom was pretty darn cheap and they still took that flying and gave it to Mesaba and ASA.

Eh we were the in house guys at the time and ASA could exercise its rights over the -900's in exchange for some -200's. Yet one more way Skywest was smart enough to secure a lot of leverage over Delta.

Does ASA/XJT (is it all XJT now?) still get it's profit sharing check from Skywest every quarter as a part of their contract?

Just heard S.L. the old fleet manager is back as assist fleet manager. What makes this interesting is he still employed at Delta.

Only when the XJT business unit makes a profit, which it hasn't since the merger started.

Dammit. Guum-ball had some ugly things (in my opinion) to say about Skywest/XJT chances going forward, I was hoping he was wrong. Mother Delta is gearing up to beat down their next "partner".

Why can't they make any money? Is it going to get any better?

Of course it's quiet. I haven't stirred the pot in quite some time. But then again, there really isn't much to stir the pot about because there's nothing new going on.

MEC: Guys Delta (sigh) said if we don't sign this bill of sale to mesa then (pause)....We shut down and we can't fly jets anymore. But with integrity and HONOR we must sign this bill of sale!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (MESABA ROAARSSSS).

9E scabs: YEEEEEEEEEEEEHAWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW !!! Where do I sign boss? Where do I sign ? Where do I sign boss? Where do I sign ? Where do I sign boss? Where do I sign ? Where do I sign boss? Where do I sign ? Where do I sign boss? Where do I sign ? Where do I sign boss? Where do I sign ? Where do I sign boss? Where do I sign ? Where do I sign boss? Where do I sign ? Where do I sign boss? Where do I sign ? Where do I sign boss? Where do I sign ?

Ill stir the pot, 700s on the way, ATL to stay open, only a small number of 200s to leave of the next year (20ish)

The perfect crime! What's even funnier is that gumbo and the rest of the yes voter think they did a great thing and helped your career. Pukes

Doesn't bother me any, what you guys don't realize is that we are not comair, the landscape is changing. The majors will be making more money which is good, regionals will be shrinking and making less money. Do you want to make 150000 as a captain of a regional that is always one cancelled contract away from going under or do you want to make 150000 as a 4 or 5 year fo? I don't care what anyone thinks of us becuase we voted and it over, it can't be changed. All the other regionals can go ahead and fight for industry leading contracts just so the can do what we did, go to chapter 11 a year later. Is it good? No but it's the way it is now. Pinnacle will be ok for at least 7 years which gives us time to move on or wait for a delta interview if they choose to do so

That's my point what the hell are you talking about " saving time"? Delta pushed out union and the pilot group to the corner to fly bigger planes at a minimum wage.

Pinnacle is the sell out of the industry. you claim it was for career progression... BS! you saved the senior 380 pilots and screwed the rest of the industry by buying the votes so that POS TA would pass. You misled your own pilots by showing pay rates from another regional airlines CRJ 700 rates to show that your CRJ 900's were making more per hour on your road shows. Saying you made more than compass, well how hard is it they are only 6 years old... They only are halfway up your pay scale. You top out at 20.00 a hour less than all other 700 operators (top out pay eagle and other airlines have 20 year scale with a lot of 20 year captains.) You should have grown a set and said no thanks, have some pride in this industry and STFD! Thanks and don't ever ask for a ride on any of my flights! there is no room for sell outs!

You are right. However, don't forget the few guys and gals that refused to vote in favor of this nonsense....we have a 15% sticker on the flight case in support of the good guys solidarity. I am truly ashamed my fellow pilots caved and didn't see the bluff for what it was. They are simply cowards!

Great idea... how do you determine who gets the sticker? I don't wanna see 45% of Pinnacle pilots running around with a 15% sticker, now!
