Your representation of yourself as some sort of courageous adventurer is immature and ignorant to anyone that is familiar with aviation.

HHAHAHAAAA HAHAHA HAHAHA...Exactly what I was talking about, some lowly CFI whose idea of adventure is a short field touch and go.

As an instructor, your concept of professionalism is guided by kissing your bosses behind and trying to figure out if it is reasonable to charge ground time while the student does his preflight...

Just another cog in the wheel of loserdom....pathetic. So NW Pilot will never sit around talking about the student who did this or didn't do that...good for him.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA.....

This thread is out of control with personal attacks mods should close the thread!!!! I will post on occasion but I will be mostly be a voyeur from now on! No more posting/reporting on my Ferry Flight's!

Now what was it for that you got banned again? Lay off the sauce bro. Your disillusionment needs to be examined.....closely.

I'm not here to discuss whether you're a good ferry pilot or not. You seem to be OK at getting the job done and staying alive.

My concern is about certain characteristics you have (that you certainly don't hide) that may be your demise. Whether socially (burning bridges with folks willing to lend you a hand) or though aviation. You need to slow down and show a little more presence of mind.

Just my 2 cents.

Mmm...I thought the thread was closed?

Dirt would indeed appear to be NW Pilot. Dirt, perhaps you can explain your correlation between unsafe learjet operations and the number of marriages one individual may have elected to enter. While you're at it, are you able to contribute something meaningful? Certainly it would appear not.

This thread has gotten so much input, I finally had to take a look. I also took a look at NW_Pilot's myspace page that was referenced by another poster. I understand the reasoning behind most of the posts that are critical of NW_Pilot's decision to take the flights that he does. I also think that as long as he stays legal, he certainly has the right to determine his own level of acceptable risk. I will not assume the right to insult him for his choices when accepting flights. Everyone has a different definition of acceptable risk. We all take flights that others would not, and NW takes some flights that perhaps some of us would not. The difference is most people have no need to build their self esteem by begging for other's attention.

NW, after reading some of your posts and looking at your personal page, I must say that as a professional pilot, I am embarrassed by your apparent lack of character and professionalism. You brag about womanizing while also talking about your wife and child. Your representation of yourself as some sort of courageous adventurer is immature and ignorant to anyone that is familiar with aviation. My concern is that your childish need for attention will inevitably get the attention of someone not familiar with aviation, or worse, someone new to aviation who will think that you actually know more than you do and assume some of the same attitudes that you present.

I really couldn't care less how much risk you take with your flights. If you push beyond your ability, only your family and friends will really pay for it. But as an pilot and as a man, you are an embarrassment to all of us who try to conduct ourselves with honor and professionalism.

Grow up and get some self respect. Then you won't have this tremendous need for attention.

I actually thought that this was a well though out and clearly written post, GSR. Factually, he's got NW dead to rights about the marriage and womanizing, the constant cries for attention(other than the womanizing remarks).

Nice creases in the shirt. Must have come right out of the box.

Oh, and you have your eppalettes on backwards.

Dang, you beat me to it...hehehehehe-and he's not wearing his hat!

One of my ground Instructors, back before he turned 60 was out over the Atlantic in a DC-8. Someone was flying a Commanche out over the middle of the North Atlantic and had the engine fail. The ferry pilot had gotten low enough that Gander couldn't hear him any more.

Story is that someone asked the wannabe Lindy "What the hell are you doing over the middle of the ocean in a single?"

In spite of having good position fixes for the ditching site they never found the body...

Listen to a bunch of soulless cowards who cry and whine about anything anyone else ever does?

This place is infested by losers with no imagination and a total lack of courage, whose only pleasure comes from correcting typos on the internet and putting other people down.

NW Pilot is operating in the spirit of an aviator, so maybe he does die young. I'd rather be dead than be anything like most of the sorry people on this board .

Go NW Pilot

20,000+ hours, eh? Fascinating, last time i saw you spouting off on a thread, you listed significantly less time, not quite commercial minimums, as I recall.

Now, just to be clear, I'm not trying to suggest that low time invalidates someones statements. As a point of fact I have read some fairly insigtful things from folks with little flying experience (just not from you, though)

However, claiming 20,000 hours when you actually have a few hundred does say quite a bit about you. None of it good.

And posting things like this:

Exactly what I was talking about, some lowly CFI

..about someone who, while not terribly experienced, has 5-10 times as much flight time as yourself is laughable.

Great post gsr. If you had the intelligence to read and understand my post, you would understand that I was not criticizing NW-Pilot's choices in flying or his sense of adventure. In fact I defend his right to make those choices, as I will defend other's right to call him an idiot for making them if that is what they feel.

The fact that you immediately jumped to the conclusion that I am a flight school CFI kissing the bosses behind speaks volumes about your ignorance and immaturity as well. Not that it matters, but I was probably a "lowly CFI" before you could say "airplane". As ASquared pointed out, and you have proven, profiles on this board can be whatever people want them to be.

Now that NW-Pilot and you have both proven your lack of maturity and class, I hope the young pilots just starting their careers who visit this board will understand how useless anything either of you say really is. Which was the only purpose of my first post.

Perhaps the best thing that brightspark nearly retired captain could have done, rather than making idiotic pointless rhetorical questions to the doomed, would have been to offer some encouragement to the pilot. "What are you doing here in the middle of the ocean in a single" isn't really very helpful now, is it?

Fact is, ferrying is a job. I wasn't a new thing when Lindy did it...many had already been across the ocean before him, and it certainly isn't new today. Moving airplanes around the globe is a legitimate endevor.

NW Pilot's undoing is his willingness to do it in a Cessna 150 that's coming apart at the seams, beyond TBO, operating on three cylnders, and on death's doorstep, and his attitude that portrays it some kind of adventure when he fails to see it for what it really is; a banner of stupidity.

Will the real NW_Pilot please stand up? Please stand up?

Although that sounds more like a flight attendant to me.

Right after we get done polishing our 12 sided die.

Yeah, at one time I didn't realize how many losers troll around here. I made the mistake of thinking this board had something to offer. Over time I have come to the realization that this board is full of rude retards. A person can't do anything not approved of by a group of total losers on this board without being insulted endlessly. So check my time now...being full of crap is what the most of the people here are, now I'm just joining in.

It's funny, people here think the internet offers them annonymity, when in truth it just exposes them for who they are. In a lot of cases it just shows what rude losers you are...it certainly doesn't show you to be great aviators, just people who would be unwelcome almost anywhere, except of course the internet.

Your comments about NW where nothing more than personal slams from an internet retard who thinks he can assess a persons qualities by reading a profile on a message board. Take a moment and think about whether or not you could speak to anyone the way you wrote that post. I don't know anyone that wouldn't tell you to go straight to hades for talking to them like that. But since you're on the internet, go ahead and spew crap that no one would ever listen to from you (or anyone else).

Oh, and don't forget to see how this thread started. It was started for the purpose of sharing the details of a job...not someone asking for opions about himself or his choices.

It's funny, people here think the internet offers them annonymity, when in truth it just exposes them for who they are.

Clearly you don't see the irony in posting that. Pity.

"Female Human Hunting" with your wife?

Mr. NW_Pilot, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Yep, just the type guy you want moving your airplane around for you. Maybe he should put this post on his website. It's ok, he's building a great reputation as a ferry pilot... :erm:

Clearly you don't see the irony in posting that. Pity.

Irony? You really are a fool. I've posted on the internet a few hundred times total. You have made a life out of it. A life spent mostly insulting others while hidden away somewhere. A pathetic life for sure. Is it 12,000 posts now?

I imagine it mirrors how pathetic your real life is, which is why you type messages to peope to try to put them down. When I talk about rude, retarded, internet losers, I unequivocally think of "Avbug" and the person you are.

How did it work out for you in real life? Obviously, you no longer have time for a real life, but then again you probably don't need that time because I really doubt you have anyone that listens to you...Tell me I'm wrong. If you have even one friend I would be impressed (not internet friends). Does anyone in your family even listen to you? Want to spend time with you around the holidays? Doubtful, but if I'm wrong just say so and I will acccept your word for it.

Too bad, this thread started out being entertaining and interesting, then you and your normal BS had to start in. Like a spoiled child who can't stand it that someone esle was doing something more interesting than your sorry, pathetic existence.

I have plenty of time for a "real life," brightspark, but then this thread isn't about me...it's about NW Pilot and his unwitting suicide attempts. So far as quality of life, are you perhaps jealous that I might have the time to make these posts...seems you might just have a quality of life issue yourself, doesn't it?

If you have even one friend I would be impressed (not internet friends). Does anyone in your family even listen to you? Want to spend time with you around the holidays? Doubtful, but if I'm wrong just say so and I will acccept your word for it.

Not that it really matters or I owe you anything, but I just got back from an assignment in the middle east. I've had ample time since then to visit family and friends, get married, go on a honeymoon, spend time with my kids, and just attended a concert with my wife. In the meantime, I've had calls of congratulations from friends internationally in various facets of the business, vists from friends and family, and have travelled to see friends and family across the country. While your concern is indeed touching, it's unwanted, and unwarranted. Nor is it particularly relevant to the thread.

I can't help but notice that you, Dirt, and NW Pilot share commonalities that might just lead one to believe you're all identities of the same person. Certainly you all seem to share the same level of professionalism, much as your posts have since you started here.

Is it 12,000 posts now?

Can you not read the counter for yourself, or must someone do that for you, also?

I've posted on the internet a few hundred times total.

Yes, and in that short bit of mumbling, as you pointed out, it has indeed exposed you for whom you are.

Too bad, this thread started out being entertaining and interesting, then you and your normal BS had to start in.

Strangely enough, what I have to say is very much like what everyone else has to say about NW Pilot here...my comments and tone are quite compatible here...most of us are saying the exact same thing...except for you, NW Pilot, and Dirt. I do find that interesting. Don't you??

Uhmm...if you re-read the beginning of the thread it was mostly people wishing NW good luck and letting him know we were looking forward to hearing about the trip.

And we all know this isn't the only board you post on.

Dude, you've been branded a brightspark.

And I wholeheartedly agree.

Brightspark.

"Mostly" must be the six posts total in the first 100 posts that said anything remotely complimentary, of those three said good luck, and you were one. Also during that time, NW Pilot was forced to abandon two attempts to make the trip, and managed to get himself banned, as well as chastized by most of the partipating posters...a continuing trend except for yourself and one or two others who typically only post out of turn.

It would seem, thereore, that you're wrong. It wasn't "most" posters, but only a few, and the thread was started by NW pilot himself...if you re-read the beginning of the thread.

What comments are given, NW Pilot has brought to himself; efforts to brag have only caused himself to be banned, and to look even more foolish. Much like yourself here, too.

Play again soon.

That was great! I think you summed it all up in one post. Just don't let "The Roach" get to ya.

Don't worry, I'm a "brightspark" too!
