HF Radio Trouble, The pumps had noise causing them to interfere with the HF Radio since I was unable to have 2 way HF radio com's I was denied an oceanic clearance. Had to return to Point of Departure. I belive we have it Solved added a noise filter to the power feeding the pumps. and was abe to contact on ground and in air. As soon as i get in a tail wind situiation again will attempt a Second Run.

I have done several pacific crossings and have never had to get a oceanic clearance enroute to Hawaii?? Only needed one for the Atlantic. Is that a low altitude thing?

Might be a while before you get a tailwind heading westbound to HI
