And some wonder why I don't post all my adventures!!!

You can't really post too many adventures when you have only had a few.

I love flying overweight flying Gas Cans across/to places most fear and/or are not willing to go.

You have one overwater crossing that I know of. One. Not a big long resume if you ask me.

Totally beats sitting there being a underpaid glorified bus driver maybe when I am in my 40's or 50's I may think of that but now it's fun.

On another message board a few months back you were stating that you were going to have to sell your home because you couldn't pay the bills. And you claim airline pilots are underpaid? Get real.

Don't worry about the airlines dude. You aint ever going to be flying for the airlines.

I am still new in the industry but best way to learn is to go and do it.

What? Earlier you were talking about flying to all these places that few people wanted or feared to go. Now you are saying you are new to this industry? What is it? Either you have all this experience or you dont.

You all can now wait till my book is published may take many decades to know the conclusion of this adventure.

I am thinking something along the lines of a book titled, "Six feet under" or "Sharkfeed" Because that is what you are going to be if you dont stop this nonsense.

I may now even block the N number from online tracking as most do!!!

Nope, I have flown the tracks quite a few times in a Heavy Corporate. Not that it is all that big of a deal or anything.

Not the airline type either. Fortune 150 corporate with absolutely no self esteem issues. Got plenty of time under my belt and make a very good living flying. You get places in this business by experience and reputation.

My advice would be not to sacrifice one for the other. Good luck, really I mean that. But I think you're going to hurt yourself or your career before it's all over. Hope I am wrong but you don't do well with listening to others who've been down the road before. Not a good way to go.

I was thinking maybe I will go practice my flying around a point and build a few hundred more hours and maybe I can go get that coveted job flying freight on a Lear and then I might make enough in a year to pay for the hanger rent on my airplanes.

I typically do not post on this board but I enjoy reading it from time to time and quite frankly the only reason I posted here is because while I wouldn't do what you are doing and yes I do think it involves some inherent risk I am tired of these guys ganging up on you and bashing you. While ferrying a/c is risky is risk involved in flying a "heavy corporate" on a trans con flight...YES. I do hope you have life insurance if you do have a family but ultimately that is between you and your family. Further to this IF I were hiring pilots to fly for an airline (or anything for that matter) would I hire a 1500 hr CFII or would I hire a 1500 hr pilot that has ferried a/c overwater well let me think who would have more real world experience.... you tell me?

Ummm way more than one how many single/twin piston crossings do you have?

New as in years wise Auguast will be 2 years ferrying planes. I know many that have been doing it for 10+ years ie: new to this industry!

You started the name calling I believe by calling me "junior" and I believe you referred to NW at "napoleon" I was stating a fact about the hangar rent not bragging. If you are not flying freight in a lear then you should change your current position in your profile.

We all agree it's riskier what NW is doing than most flying with that being said why not just sit back enjoy NW regaling us with his tales of ferrying a/c.

both you clowns should respect your elders(not necessarily in terms of age but experience). crossing the pond in a piston doesnt really impress me or anyone else, what does comes to mind is "what an idiot for taking that gig".

NWpilot, knocking those guys who fly the 1900's for Great Lakes isn't going to make you any friends. Talking down about others isn't going to make you any friends. I am sure you're making yourself a reputation as a ferry pilot...

As to great contacts? You've already pissed off enough people in the industry to effectively ruin yourself if you don't have a major attitude adjustment and spend a long time, for lack of a better word, repenting for all your past sins. There are different ways of going about things and your way is not the right one.

For instance the airlines are too not for me, but you never know what hands life deals you and who you will be your friend tomorrow so I'd be careful about throwing some libel around about the people who are the most numerous in this industry...airline pilots. They move on to corporate jobs, charter jobs and ferry jobs. They know people. I'd bet that most people who have been around the business even for a few years as a professional are only a few degrees off of knowing everyone in the industry.

You're splashing in a very small pool and you're heading into the deep end without your water wings. When the time comes you start sinking are you sure someone is going to come help you...?
