The list is made up via the order you were dumped into the pool. It doesn't have anything to do with age. Those who were put into the pool early are farther up the list than those who were called later. It sounds like they will be running a couple of big classes for the 320 in Nov. Bernice told me two classes in Nov but they weren't sure on the size. They could be 14 each or they could be 28 each. If you are at the bottom of the May pool and they are saying Nov or Dec, then I'll bet they will be bigger classes which will be great.

got the good news from verna today.I'm swimming ( comando of course)

i interview on the 16 and got the good news email 1 week from that. today is 12 weeks and 2 days from the phase 1 passed email ( so you guys from june who haven't heard don't dispare, there is time ).

she told me if I took a 190 class would be around october and if I waited for 320 in november or december.

I'll wait for the 320 since I live out west even if it comes in january or later ( ski season is on anyway).

Swimming Order

I interviewed in June, and got the call to jump in the pool on 9 Aug.
Does that mean that I'll be out of the pool before someone who interviewed in May?
I'm not trying to jump ahead of anybody, just curious...
I got the call 1.5 weeks ago and haven't received an e-mail or a second call from my lifeguard yet. Any ideas on how long this takes?

From what I understand you come out of the pool the order you went in the pool if you are willing to take the first class offered to you.

As far as lifeguard I didn't hear from my lifeguard for a while in the beginning, I've been in the pool since July 13th and I have gotten 1 phone call and 1 information email. I hope this helps.

Got an e mail yesterday from Bernice offering a Sept 27 190 class. We turned it down.

Not that I have heard. I hope they decide to run one on Oct. They were saying no classes in Sep and they did one on the 13th so maybe we will get lucky and see an oCT 320 class.

There is a 320 class starting today. The guys have been sitting in the pool a while though. I will try to find out about the dates on the next few classes and report when I get the info.

there are 72 pilots in the pool.

1 from march, 53 from may and 18 from june.

there are 3 slots for the E190 class september 23.

there are 50 slots for the E190 classes for october and november.

NO DECISION ON NOVEMBER 320 CLASSES OR WHAT SIZE.

07 classes will be every 2 weeks with 10-14/class for the e190 and 8-12/class for the 320.

27 pilots form june interview will be getting called and put in the pool shortly.

interviewing 200 candidates on november 2/3 for jan/feb/march classes.

I got another call and am now going to the 190 class on Sept. 13th. So don't know, maybe there are now 4 slots open for the 190 on Sept. 27th.

Great info. Details like those really help those waiting patiently at home.

I find it amazing (but know it is true) that there are any open slots for classes. I am a 190 FO and am well aware that there is a ton of room for improvement at B6 and with the 190.

For all those poolies waiting for a 320 class did you not get the memo? Senority is EVERYTHING!!!!! Those poor bastards who are taking the 190 in September while you wait for a 320 class in Oct or Nov will be 320 captains before you, as well as 190 captains before you. I know everyone's situtation is unique and specific, but I just felt compelled to remind the sunbathers that the pool is not the place to be after getting offered a job. It is in the first available class.
