I too interviewed on Jan 11, 71 days ago, 19 to go, and have not heard anything as well. Does anyone know if JB is calling the guys who wrote letters for us? I haven't received any letters from the FAA nor has anyone been called. Just curious.
Thank God we have an on-line support group. I'd go nuts!!

Congrats Fins! Hopefully we'll all see you in class. Did you figure out which a/c you are taking?

Supchuck; I too had not received any letters from the FAA until Monday. I'm sure you have been reading this thread; they have been having difficulties receving FAA records info. Hang in there, I'm sure it will come soon. Regarding the call to references...mine have not been called. Many of my friends who already work there say their references never got called.
 
Thank Murano. I chose the Airbus. I want to get on some of those runs down to the islands. That, better starting pay, the airbus flying into Portland Maine (1 hour from my house), and heavy equipment. Those were my reasons.I'm still pulling for the rest of you guys. Hope to see you in Orlando.
 
Verna called today I'm in

Hey guys .. after 10 weeks and one day I finally got the call. Verna called at around 1 p.m today and left me a message. She apologized for taking so long but said that they were overwhelmed with interviews, classes, etc. She said there were 2 Airbus slots left March 29th and both aircraft have slots for the April 12 class. I chose the bus on the 29th. Good luck to all of you that are still waiting and just hang in there ... the calls are coming slowly...

thanks waterski... I hope you hear something soon... I think the # 2 guy on your waiting club got a rejection letter last week. I don't know the details but don't let it worry you.

Another buddy of mine got a call today too.. he starts on the 29th..... they're calling, just be patient.. It sounded like the 4/12 classes still had lots of slots. I know they try to mix the classes by having corp pilots, cummuter guys, military, etc.

Hi all, Verna called me today as well offering the A320 class on the 29th. I'm very excited and hope everyone will get a call soon so we can all meet up in Orlando. According to her I was the last one to get the 29th class. Hang in there guys/gals!

It sure is a shame that there is so much communication just before, during, and just after the interview ... then 8+ weeks of dead silence.

This is where I feel we are letting down our pending new crewmembers. There should be a weekly update as to the status of your interview package, etc, a notice when your name will be presented to the hiring board, etc.

:confused: I know it's tuff, the wait must be agonizing. But the comapny is hiring like crazy and you've got an excellent shot at being picked up.
Believe me, we want you onboard just as bad as you want to be here.
 
Congrats to all the guys and gals who got calls. I hope to meet a lot of the March 29th people next week as we pass the torch on Wednesday night.
 
Like everyone else, I have good days I feel everything is going to be ok and V will call, THEN, on the bad days you start wondering if all your paperwork has even been sent in. Today, agonizing is an understatment. Not knowing anything concerning your status is putting grey hairs where I thought none were possible.

Some are getting called today. A friend of mine got the call from Verna today. She told him she still had several to call from the Jan interviews.

I think they always start on Wednesday too so you can project out every two weeks from April 12th.
 
Any news for you guys yet? I'm still watching to see more good news coming down for you guys. As always, good luck!

Haven't heard of any calls so far today. Not staring at the phone but sure have one close by as I hammer out all of my 'projects'!!
 
hey guys,
i just started today.. jb is GRRRRRRRREAT.... don't loose hope.. the calls will come..... indoc is long but a lot of good info... verna is here in mco and she's contacing people for the next classes.... she's very busy so it'll take her some time.

classes start every other wednesday. the next class is april 12th and so on. as of class 03/29/06, they've hired 199 pilots.... estimated hiring for the year according to what they said today in indoc is 530-550 pilots... about 4000 total crewmembers (employees).. at least another 300 pilots to go just this year.... jb is still growing A LOT so the forecast looks very good.... they're overwhelmed with applications, interviews, jobfares and everything else so they're a little behind schedule. i'm on the bus and there are about 28 guys in my class but the e190 only has 4 guys... i guess it varies from month to month..... there is no pattern to the way they hire and don't try to rationalize it..... they' re very busy and will get to you guys soon.

have fun on your time off, go to the gym, spend time with your significant other, travel, visit family, etc... the time will come when you'll be here and will be very busy.. so enjoy your time off ... hope to see you all here very soon.

hang in there and i'll continue to kee you guys posted on the latest updates.
 
I'm in !!

Just talk to VK. April 12 Airbus class for me. She said they have 1 more spot for this class. Next class April 26. No more EMB's until June.
