If you take the job, and decide to leave within a year or so, do you have to pay back training expenses since you signed a 5 year contract? Curious, does anyone know? Thx

No. The contract you are refering to is a contract of employment, not a training contract.

Its my understanding that you can leave anytime, although you cannot go back to your previous employer for two years. This per the contract you sign.

This I found out from a PM. Not sure if it's true or not.

suke,

Nice!

That is what it says....among other dubious things.

You don't seem to know what you're talking about. I made a polite response to a post, and you stir the pot. Nice!

There is nothing dubious about it. If you think you would prefer to stay with your present employer, stay. Otherwise, lose the attitude.

I have questions for all of you who got called.

1) Are you currently flying or are you furloughed/liquidated?

2) Are the calls for conditional employment or not.

Just wondering 'cause I wanna be called to.

I'm currently flying and the employment is conditional. Although, the day after the call my company emerged from BK.

Hey RideandDrive !

Congratulations.

As for yesterday, I kinda jumped in there. Have gone back and read the earlier posts. (I just don't like the word dubious - nothing personal)

Welcome to B6.

Well said. Anyone getting feedback from their references?

So I hear next clases are March 29. How far in advance can we expect to receive the call?..
Thanks

I got called on a Sunday evening 2/13 for a 3/1 class. I ended up giving my current employer a little less than two weeks (last day 2/24). I had, however, told them that I would leave if I got the call and that I may need out in a little less than the standard 14 days. Worked ok for me.

I'd be prepared to get called as late as two weeks out. Just my guess though. I think I read on this thread someone got called for an earlier class with about a weeks notice. I assume that he told the interviewers that he was available on a short notice.

Good luck. Hope you get called soon.

Congrats on the call. Nice turn-around time too. Was that a conditional offer and what choices did they give for A/C?
Cheers

Just so you all know, the 3 classes for March are all for both A/C, your choice. They give you a nice email packet to help you make your choice too. Class act operation!
