It appears that you are one of the delusional "The best of the best of the best" kind of guys.

You're saying that the guys that got turned down by SW are somehow "inferior" to those that got hired? Every person at the interview was qualified to be there. At that point, you're interview skills are the only thing that mattered, and that has very little to do with anything we do in the cockpit. I can name a bunch of great guys that got turned down here, and also name a bunch of complete aholes that got hired. It all comes down to the luck of the draw. If you believe otherwise, then I feel sorry for you.

......

Well said and applies to all airlines. Isn't it interesting that the few who think they are the "best" usually end up being some of the weakest.

your attitude is what keeps this industry in the toilet! all of you! we are blue collar workers? nice! in the "industry" for 15 years.

Really? What have I typed that isn't true?

Do you actually think you're "better" than a guy that got turned down? You got lucky and beat the odds. Period.

Lemme guess........ WN is your first and only airline, right?

LOL... Says the guy calling another professional "stupid POS". Do you really think you're "better" than anyone else? How does that translate into keeping the industry down?

Talk about "critical" thinking......

Emptying the lav doesn't count for those 15 years btw, neither does FTeen time.

Nor flight instructing or flying canceled checks . . . not germaine to this discussion. You obviously don't have 15 years in as an airline pilot, or you wouldn't be making such stupid, sweeping statements.

What is wrong with tripowers critical thinking skills? He made a very coherent and accurate point. Anyone that thinks he is better because of the airline he flies for has delusions of grandeur to say the least. I think his point is very clear and spot on. If you think you are "better" because you fly for SWA you are only fooling yourself.

I completely agree.

You're right, I have over 24 years as a scheduled 121 airline pilot and 2 years in the 135 world.

What "sweeping and stupid statements" have I made?

It was directed at Yoyoma.

I agree with you, being selected or not on that particular day is not an indication of your skills, ability or value as a human being.

Sorry, I thought you quoted me. I also thought you lost it for a minute there!

And therefore...we're going to do away with our interview teams...first come, first serve...

OK...now that that's settled...who's first in line???

Welcome to SWA...You're hired!!

omg are you kidding? thats exactly what it means! why do americans not take responsibility for ANYTHING? i guess we are all equal, and nobody should be punished, and unicorns are real.

if you FAIL the interview you are not as good as the person who PASSED the interview! pretty simple! sorry but thats how it works.

Do you think the SW interview is infallible?

Heck, they didn't even do even do a sim ride until a few years ago! Every person that walks through the PD door is qualified. After that, it all depends on how well they interview and how well they prepped for THAT interview.

It's a stupid argument that only shows your immaturity, and, no, I never interviewed at SWA.

I doubt you did, either. If you did and passed, it says more about the interview process than you think, and not in a good way.

So...you going to turn yourself in, or you want me to??!? :erm:

Sooooo, if you fail the AirTran interview and get hired at Southwest, you're not as good as the AirTran guy who received the job? Answer...Who The F**K cares?!

These "I'm better than you" arguments are reaching monumental ******************************-bag status.

You can't say d0uche? WTF?
