Latest Update for the 23 Oct Class

Congrats BH, beers are on you next round.  Looks like things are moving fast and furious with this class. I didn't have the 28 Feb class on the updated list cause I figured we had moved past that and had reached the end of calling for the 23 Oct class with the poolie numbers of 10/6/8 (24 total) through the 7/8 Mar group. As they are now calling 15/16 Mar people (and they have been running down the list in FIFO), I changed the "purpled" portion of the poolies for the ones drying off. By my count, the 2 people called from 15/16 Mar (from the last 2 posts) combined with the 14/15 Mar group of 9 suggests that at least 35 people were called for the class size of 25. Talking to a reservist friend, I think I have the missing number for the 19/20 Mar group -- 5 into the pool. I know this is not an exact science but I think the info from everyone has helped clear up some of the picture. I've also tentatively added 12 potential poolies who interviewed in Sep, survived the sim and are waiting for swimming passes. Thanks to everyone for all the information shared!! The doctor says I should be able to kick the flightinfo habit with 1-2 years of "behavior modification."

I talked to one of our Flexes that works with the BI/New Hire program. He says the plan is to try to bring on 150 by the end of Dec, approx 50/month. For example, in Nov he said there are 30 727 FO and 20 727 SO slots.

More Poolies?

When KD called to offer an interview date, she had May 30/31 or June 6/7 as an option. I picked the earlier date (duh!) and haven't heard a word since about that June 6/7 group. I think there may be a possibility that there are some more hiding in the deep end that are, unbelievably, ignoring us cool guys on FI.

I think it's dang nifty that we have gotten so many from a relatively small group to keep up the intel on what is happening. I can't imagine sitting around wondering just what the hell is going on for 4-6 months without any clue as to when the class date may happen, as those that haven't availed themselves of this forum may be doing. Granted a lot of this is guessing and speculation but it is nonetheless appreciated as it is still SOMETHING.

Just got off the phone with a buddy from the 19/20 Mar interview group. He said he remembers 10 getting the pool letter. He went MD-11 Nugget and doesn't know for sure if there were others from that group that have already been called. So 10 (1) = 9 possible for the 19/20 Mar group.

This FI crack sure is good!

After looking at information from a couple different boards, I think october is full. Therefore, if anyone gets a call for a November class date, please ask how many folks would there be in the class.

If anyone that is presently in training would you also ask?

Updating the numbers with Diamond and cjj's inputs. CJJ...I talked to a reservist bud who was in the morning group to get the number I put in there. My guess is that he might not have had a good read on the afternoon bunch. There might be a few more WB nuggets but let's put in what you have. Throw me that pipe when you get a chance....makes the water better.

follow-up from 14/15 March interview - i believe 5 of us got the call for the 23 Oct class - 11 interviewed, 10 made it to the 2nd day - not sure how many actually were in pool, nor how many got MD11/A300.

Heard from the BI staff that there will be 3 classes in Oct, 1 in Nov and 2 in Dec averaging 22 per class. I know this doesn't make much sense for Oct unless they have a class on 30 Oct, but that is what they told me. Everyone here is saying this is a great company to work for.

I came to MEM a few days early, rented a hotel and scoped out the area. The HomeStead Studio Suites on Corporate Ave near the Holiday Inn Select has a FedEx rate of $39.00/$45.00 after taxes. Call the hotel directly during business hours to get the best service, (901) 344-0010. After class started and hooking up with a study/sim partner we went out and found two crashpads close together (convient for studing) and in a good area. As a bonus there are some 727/SO's in the same crash pads. Some are veterans and some are from the 11 Sep class. Nothing like getting help (and gouge) from the guys who have been there and done that. I highly recommend this approach.

It is comfirmed, there will be a 30 Oct class. The BI staff said 3-Oct, 1-Nov and 2-Dec classes with 153 more poolies called up this year counting the 2 Oct class. I can forsee a towel shortage coming at Wal-Mart!!!!!

For those with the M-n-G, but no interview (me)...my sponser talked to the ACP yesterday and was told that the CP/ACP's will meet in Oct to determine who will get called for the next set of interviews in Nov.
I'm glad to see the classes are starting to roll...congrats guys!!!
