Here's the simple truth..........Most Delta pilots have NO clue what DAL did with Pinnacle, or how bad it is. Most USAirways pilots have no clue what happened at PSA. Most mainline pilots, at any airline, have no clue what is going on across the regional airline industry.

I hate to say it, but I don't feel bad for Endeavor pilots at all. They chose to vote yes on what they have, so I feel they should enjoy every moment of it. They had the opportunity to write their own future, and they tossed it, so that someone could write it for them.

General- somehow you slipped through the cracks and landed the job. Good for you. I wouldn't be so fast to flaunt it the way you are. Most Delta pilots I know are a real class act. You, unfortunately, are not.

Delta, Pinnacle management, and Alpa, knew exactly how to swing that vote with that so called longevity payment (bribe money) and the SSP. The sad thing is a very large percentage voted yes with no intention of ever working under that contract, or at least not for very long. That bribe money was used to supplement income for many as they made lateral moves to other regionals. Pinnacle was a $hit place to work long before the bankruptcy contract.

Looks like SW will be picking up a few Endeavor guys coming up in the next classes. Just make sure you are getting the resumes in to all the majors and remain persistent.

The bad part of the consolidation is less companies to interview with. Started with maybe 8, and now down to 4/5.

I agree. But, it will hit the Majors last. The better paying Majors will poach pilots from the LCCs too, and the huge retirement numbers will entice people to take a look, even from normally stable airlines like SWA, which are facing stagnation. All of you have a shot at a legacy if you want it, but getting on sooner than later is key. Getting off your duffs NOW and applying could mean the difference between holidays and weekends off, shorter upgrade times, and better QOL, for a career maybe!

As far as foreign pilots possibly coming in, there are shortages all over the World. China can't produce enough, and expats can choose pretty healthy expat contracts, if they can tolerate living in those places. Just look at Indonesia. Garuda and Lion Air have ordered tons of new planes. Same with Air Asia in Malaysia. Vietjet, a new LCC in Vietnam (attention Freeturd) will sign next month for a $9 billion Airbus order. More people can afford to fly now, but there will be a huge pilot shortage because it has been cost prohibitive for the last 5-10 years. All of that is GOOD for current airline pilots.
