I can't believe he is even a pilot because no professional pilot I ever met would act like this. 1.3xvso is your typical scab who runs his mouth the loudest and then is first to cross the picket line. Hiding behind a keyboard making all kinds of threats and yet refusing to back them up by posting his name and intention to deny the jumpseat to his own pilots. Coward!


Flyer, then he insults you be saying that all the guys that can't get hired by anyone else go to the LCC's. Why do you stand behind him?
 
Just let the "no" voters vent. It sucks for them, and us. They won't say anything to you face to face nor will they deny jumpseats. They are all just venting.

We all know they don't say a word in the crew room or to other crew members. They just need an anonymous forum to piss and moan. I will give them a few more months, but then it is time to get over it.

Enjoy that concession cut for 7years. And make sure those mortgage gets paid.

I always wonder whats the big deal with getting hired at a major or not..all the same sh*t. I guess for you to feel all mighty you have to be at a major. Im sure your arrogance can be spotted at a MAJOR interview.

Really, that's what you got out of that? I was speaking of your attitude... I'm not happy about our situation either, but I'm not carrying on like you are about it. What are you going to accomplish by getting angry and insulting people other the raising your blood pressure?

You know with all this bantering you guys haven't even gotten to the real issue...

Legacy 9e wanted ratio'd lists. This is what they got. The legacy 9e union wanted a lot of interesting things but ratio is what won the day.

I think the numbers were 279 XJ to 89 9e (sorry I don't remember the exact numbers) to generate the ratio for CRJ900 pilots. Because the Bloch award maintains this ratio, that means with the new aircraft coming on line - the ratio continues for legacy XJ pilots to legacy 9e pilots.

Interesting development.

My mortgage is paid for now but I had to cut the membership to Cannongate along with other cuts. I voted yes, and like I said before. I used to be a lifer at (Mesaba) Pinnacle, but now I am moving on. I voted yes to move on...on my own terms...not under Chapter 7 terms. I think the most important part of being able to move on is currency and if we went to Chapter 7 I would have 90 days to get another flying job. My money to pay the bills would last a good 6-9 months, but currency is only good for 90 days.

Legacy 9E wanted ratio lists? No, 3 pilots on the merger committee wanted a ratio'd list, with ZERO input taken from the 9E pilot group.

Did you get a new job? If so congrats. Did you get on at Spirit?

Yes, which is why even if they asked for a 50% paycut, it would have still passed. You can't put a price on currency. Run out of it, and essentially you've run yourself out of the industry.
 
It's a matter of time.

They have hired some people who were vocally against a place like Spirit because to them it was a lateral move from a regional. Their words, not mine.

I did not apply hence I am not hired at Spirit. So if I did get on at Spirit why would it suck for spirit?

Anyways, you just like to sit behind a keyboard and vent. I would bet my career that you would not say what you do on here as you would tell somebody face to face...well maybe you would to your FO since you could bully them.

Just have peace with yourself and try to control the things that you can control. It makes life so much easier and stress free.
 
for those that want to get on with spirit, if you are going just because they have a dtw base, dont do it. They just had a reduction notice of 10 ca and 10 fo's Rumors are that the base may start a slow death in favor of DFW flying and possibly an ord base. Im not saying you should not go there they have a lot of growth on the horizon and are a good company but i know a lot of 9e/xj guys live in base and have said that spirit is a place they would go for the dtw base.

Again, that is easy to say behind a keyboard. Not so easy face to face. Not that you would be worried about being punched but you probably know how to be professional in public and you would be embarrassed knowing that others would think this type of behavior is unacceptable.

Integrity is not only doing the right thing, but doing the right thing when no one is looking.

What world do you live in? Let me guess you saved everyone jobs right? Or it's better than being shut down? You will cross the picket line because you will believe what the company says and be superman. I'm not so worried about being punched in the face cause ill punch and kick you right back at the parking lot. I know what you guys are capable of snitching to your company posses. Ill have standard check every fwa and sbn out and backs. Thanks but no thanks ill gladly meet you at the parking lot when I quit or leave this place.

Great post Simon, some one gave me advice on here a month ago or so, XJ Hawk I think. Anyway, he said "You're wasting you time on him, There's a reason he's on my ignore list" I imediately put him on my ignore list and I've been kicking myself for not doing it sooner. I'm not saying there's not people like him from the XJ side, but in all my years there I've never run into one. Maybe they just did a better job screening them out. At any rate his math is flawed also, because XJ didn't make up 85% of the yes votes
