After reading today's update, I'm pi$$ed more than ever. NO FAVORS. It's going to be an interesting trip coming up.

How about this response from Bryan when asked why negotiations are going so poorly.

I personally believe that U.S. Americans are unable to do so because, uh, some ... people out there in our nation don't have maps and uh, I believe that our, ah, education like such as in South Africa, and, uh, the Iraq, everywhere like such as, and I believe that they should, uh, our education over here in the U.S. should help the U.S., or should help South Africa, it should help the Iraq and the Asian countries so we will be able to build up our future, for our children.

After talking to our union reps, it sounds like (as usual) the company is playing with themselves. Their offer was due at 1 pm today and didn't pass it along until 3pm. They didn't move much, and ALPA says they are not going to move much more either. We all know the profit margin of Skywest. Sounds like the shots are being called in SGU.

After talking to other pilots....
what if we had no pens in the cockpit? It
s not a required item in the FOM.
How will captains sign the release? How will FO's fill out the Load Manifest?
My personal (non ALPA affiliated) opinion is stop bringing your personal pens to work.
Call ops, tell them there are no pens in the airplane and cannot fill out the paperwork.
This will get real interesting quick!

Then why in the hell are we (both sides) even bothering to show up and continue this absolute farce of a charade???

ENOUGH ALREADY!!!!

Board will just park NEGs. and get back to them when both sides are ready.

See you in the funny pages...

Have a great Labor day--funny it is called LABOR DAY !!!

yyyyyeeeaaaaa. im gonna have to go ahead and.... disagree with you there.............

The NMB is appointed by the president. They are pro-buisness. If you think there will be a release you are poorly informed on labor issues.

Nothing will come of this session. I'm not in management but I will give them a tip of the hat. They have absolutely routed labor. Well done gentleman.

OHHHHH, is that how it works?

Poorly informed, I will give you that, in the sense that many people in this fight are poorly informed due to their lack of interest.

I am not convinced either way as to which way things will go, but I hardly believe we should throw in the towel because the cards are stacked against us.

And last, I would never disrespect our company "leaders" in a one on one coversation, but I would never call them gentlement either.

Just as you and others are so ready to say "I told yah so" with no release, I too cannot wait for the day that I can say, "who was it that said we were'nt getting released?"

I'm not saying it will, I'm just holding on to what will be best for our cause.

The only labor I'll be doing this weekend is driving to the beach and pouring adult beverages.

labor day weekend

Yep, operation FASA starts Friday evening if no TA is reached. Ask your fellow pilot if you have not been informed. Let the fun begin and I will apologize in advance if you actually bought a ticket for this weekend.

Maybe a few flights will make it; I'm sure Joey will have his phone on when they need him!

Here is the answer. If the status quo is productive, in a completely demonized and depressed industry, then its DFW(Don't fvck with) it!

Lets say I am cheating on my girlfriend, not really, and she catches me numerous times. Each time she threatens to dump me. I swear to change, but never do. I keep cheatin', and getting caught. Nothing ever changes. All that is happening is that I am having the time of my life, with no down side.

So, why should anybody that is screwing everyone, making a sh1t pot full of money, and not having to change(when they say they have to) change anything. Here is the answer.

How much can you change in 5 years?

I'm willing to wager that this 4 day session is a means to an end.

2) we dont get a TA because of company not willing to compromise and the NMB gives us our release.

4 days straight is plenty of time for this crap to wrap up.

DING DING DING!

BL, SH and CT don't think that history can repeat itself from 1998. They do not think that the pilots have the will to do what is needed at this time to finish the contract. They laugh and joke about it.

After seeing the Company's a and b proposal .....My crystal ball say that the MNB will meet with both sides. Neither side is going to give and so the NMB will make a choice to offer and neither side will except the offer so it's time to move on with the process. I would advise you to get your house in order.

The update last night said they were to meet with THE BOARD today.

To me that implies that they are being called to the principles office for a little pow wow.
