Floyd,

Let's just hope I'm an even "Luckier" person after the interview. ;-) I'll be sure to post the result.

Yeah, I heard from Gary twice. Once on the phone and another via email. Both times were on a Saturday.

I promise that I don't normally call on a Saturday, just lately have been working the 7 day schedule. Stratus, welcome aboard. Everyone that is waiting, "keep the faith and the patience".

Gary, Wow...I bet you could use a vacation. ;-) I'm on reserve and I don't even work 7 days a week. By the way, I wouldn't be offended if you called me on Saturday. LOL

Again, I appreciate the invite. I look forward to meeting you and everyone else for that matter.

So this is what the Price is Right feels like? Come on down!

See you Friday,

Sratus72

Gary.......just don't know how you do it week in and week out-

GLAD you do though...lol

10 months to go..... :)

Shrek,

You'll get your shot in 10 months. As for me, 2 days to go. I can't wait! One way or another, this time next week my life will be different. The suspense is killing me. ;-)

Stratus

Just try to be yourself......it is one of the hardest things to come across during an interview ........

BUT if you do... I KNOW you will be golden when that happens......

Shrek

Shrek,

Sounds good. I am who I am...they"ll see the real me. That's all I can do. Plus, my Mom said that's good enough! ;-)

I'm flying out to Denver tonight.

Stratus

Stratus,

Quality people abound at F9. Fingers are crossed for ya. Weather should be 60s and 70s for at least the next couple o'days.

Shrek, I feel for ya bro. 10.5 months before the re-app for me.

Haven't dug TOO deep into the subject, but this appears to be a Frontier friendly post, just finished reading the new "Air Inc" Pilot Careers article on Frontier. How required is it for an "in" at Frontier? Min Requirements say no, but "competitive" requirements say otherwise. Is it the equivelant as the FedEx "sponsor"? Anyone get in without an "in" recently? Thanks...

Jeeves,

I have an in house LOR but not a Silver Bullet. I have an interview on Friday...anything is possible. First thing to do is complete Airapps.com

Stratus

To Floyd94 and anyone else who's been waiting a loooong time. Make absolutely sure that everything on your airlineapps application is in order. Sssh, don't tell anyone, but you might call one of the Assistant Chief pilots or maybe send a PM to F9recruiter (I hope he doesn't mind me saying this) and ask if there are any "Red Flags" on your application. Without that knowledge, it's like flying at night into a known area of thunderstorms without radar. You might be sitting at home with your hand on the phone, for no reason - in vain.
Also, send people requests for recommendations to be added to your application. As many as possible, but QUALITY over quantity.

Alright, step one complete. I made it to Denver. My brother lives 5 minutes from the G.O.. Easy enough. Step number two, impress the panel. Step three, get the all important call from Gary. ;-) I know, one step at a time. I sure wish the interview was Thursday. Oh well, one more day. I've waited years, what's a little longer?

Shrek,

I'll give it my all. I'm feeling pretty relaxed at the moment. I guess the mountain view will do that do a person. I'm sure the heart will be racing at the interview. ;-)

Hi guys,

Just got back from the interview. It was everything I expected. Great people and they really put us all at ease. Yes, i was still a little nervous.
Got a bit tongue tied at the end. Nonetheless, I think I got my message across. Oh, and the pizza was great. ;-) Super company and even better employees. I now know a few of the interviewers monitor or participate on this site. You know who you are...I won't blow your cover. Thanks for making me feel at home. Gary, thanks for the invite. Look's like anyone hired out of this interview will be in the May 8th class. Oh, there were 8 of us today...great folks.

I'll let you guys know when I hear something.

Now the hard part...waiting.

Stratus72

Stratus,

Good luck, Bud. I highly recommend you go out for a very long run or something. Do something that will tire you out completely. It's the only healthy way you're going to get any sleep tonight. You will inevitably not be able to focus on much else for the next little while. I've got my fingers crossed for you. Keep us posted.

-Blucher:D

Thanks! I just posted but it doesn't seem to be on the site. If you see two responses, that's the deal. Oh well, I will surely relax for the rest of the day. I just had a cool beer. I never drink at 3pm, but this day is special. :-)

I'll let you all know the result.

Hey it is 5PM somewhere right kid?.....lol

Congrats early bubba.....sounds like you did great :) Do you hear the Final Jeapardy song ringin in the background? This is really the hardest part but keep the faith........

Howdy All

Hey everyone I have been reading this thread for a couple of days and following along. Status72 you're my hero! Just wanted to say hi, and good luck. I too am trying hard for Frontier!

Just curious if during anyones interview they mentioned that they want a 12 percent paycut from the pilots, want to reduce reserve lines to 10 days and only 4 of those will you know in advance and are immovable with the other 6 being floating days off?

No. Get your facts straight - its a 50 percent pay cut with new hires paying for their training, reserve line holders call in every morning to find out if they have to fly or just clean planes, and you get to sit around trying to find out why you have the mail man's eyes - but get paid for the effort. :D

And the co-pilot now serves as the F/A who comes through the cabin with a trash bag........LOL

Why are so emotional? Arent you leaving when American starts recalling!??

To all the newhires and F9 wanabees,

You will like it here at F9! It is a good place :)

Keep trying, you will get your chance.

Stratus, what's your status? You should have heard something by now (I think).

F9Recruiter, if a person applied, interviewed, and was turned down, do they need to wait a year before they put their stuff back in, or can they keep their stuff updated and hopefully hear back from you a year afer their first interview?

Jetsi

It's all true. The part about the quality of life that is, can't speak to the issue of negotiations though. I have to say that I get a huge smile on my face every time I go to work and realize that not many people have it this good. F9 has proven everything I believed to be true about them in my short time here. Stratus, any news or did I miss it? Been gone for a couple weeks.

Best of luck to you guys (and gals) - it is worth the wait!

Jetsi,

If they keep their information updated, our system will return them to the pool after one year.

Stratus,

What is your status?
