Insanity, doing the same thing over and over again, expecting different results. Northwest pilot to jail. Do incidents of drunken pilots stop? Nope. Still happens. And it will happen again. Count on it. If losing your career, your income, probably most everything you own isn't enough of a "message", what makes you think jail would be? It already has a track record of being a miserable failure at "sending a message". If it worked, there would be no repeat offenders in prison. But the fact is, most prisoners have been there, done that, usually more than once. Jesus Clyde, its like you hear that stupid line in some political speach and actually believe it, even though all evidence is to the contrary.

A high school teacher once told me that if the hangover came first, almost no one would drink. But the fact is, most people do not contemplate the consequences of their actions, unless the consequences are staring them in the face, right now. As a small example, tell me, if you were late for your show, driving to the airport, would you cruise through a "yellowish" light? Do you think you still would if a Cop was right behind you?

These guys lives are ruined. Jail is overkill, and a waste of my $$.
