they interviewed close to 60 people in november for a class of 15 in january. calls should be going out this week or next.
Anyway to build a schedule at Emirates that would let you commute? Is this crazy speak?
Just wondering b/c I have the interview coming up and have a family that will not move. Wife is a Houston rich bitch who I outta just leave anyway but my kids need her and I love my kids.
Thoughts??
Your a sucker if you interview with these low life bottom dwellers.
They are the classic example of pilots flying for food.
Dont even think about it. This is an assault on our livelihoods. Have some dignity....
Thanks for a laugh when I needed it.... Low life bottom dwellers... LOL
So, OurMoney1 would never fly for such a bottom dwelling company? That's fine. At least he sounds like a good father who loves his kids and would do anything for them...except of course fly for a bottom dwelling company who allows you to kiss you kids goodnight everyday (no overnights). Hmmm....
Is it better to be a blue catfish or a flathead catfish? Those are bottom dwellers right? I prefer channel cats myself.
As long as they're fried up and tasty, I don't care!
I'd love to fly for Allegiant, unfortunately, I'm sure there are other, more qualified applicants.
Don't be so sure, man. They recently hired a 3200 hr ExpressJet FO with no turbine PIC, and my buddy intereviewed who was a 3300 ExpressJet FO with no PIC.
Definitely send a resume. Next time they hire, you may get lucky. Internal recs are the key.

I thought I smelled scum around here...........and there you were Victors!bottom dwelling company might be a bit harsh, but what he is saying is true. This is why the profession of being a pilot is becoming more of a joke and management knows it. "Professional pilots" willing to take any sh!tty wage in order to fly a big jet.
Ya yes. My favorite line. "It's ok that pay and benefits suck now because I get to fly a big jet today and I get to be a big jet captain in 2 years." Let's ask the airtran, jetblue, frontier, skybus, spirit, .........pilots what they think about that line? Why unionize?
Having a union on the property is not a win for the employees. It's the failure of management. Find me where Allegiant management has failed their employees so grossly as to warrant unionizing.
As far as the pay is concerned, Allegiant's first year pay is in line with everyone else. Their upgrade time is currently projected at 2 years for newhires. They're profitable, and they have scheduled raises. Could they improve on pay? Why absolutely... however, they've been getting raises, and they're scheduled additional raises.
Add into account their QOL, I'd say it's a pretty decent deal considering every place else.
scum? Ok. I'll take that label if that's the name you give to people attempting to raise the level of professional pay and benefits.
