If you look at the DOT stats Delta, Airtran and ASA share the bottom of the list - wonder what they have in common? Maybe closing down a runway for construction at the world's busiest airport that peaks in excess 115 arrivals per hour has something to do with delays.

Are you D'Angelo?

I know a few people who work over at Mesa. They tell me a lot of times they will cancel flights due to "weather" or "flow". The pilots will call ATC and they are told weather or flow is not a problem on that particular route. Look I am not saying there is no such thing as weather delays or ATC delays. I am saying that they make an easy scapegoat however. I am not this D'Angelo you speak of. I am simply stating an opinion. I don't know for 100% sure however I am definately suspicious. It is just to easy to hide problems under Weather/ATC at ALL airlines.

Case in point, a couple of nights ago DL cancelled most of their late flights into SAN because of a fog forecast. Well, the fog stayed over the water and did not cover the runway. Everyone who tried got in.

Fins, you're pi$$ing in the wind with that guy.

I get tired of these guys gloating and carrying on as though they are the best. I am not sure why I even float real numbers. It's not worth the effort of going through the sites to find the data. Truth is that very most guys I've flown with, are ardent pros who do want to be on time even if they're not happy with the company right now. I know I do my best but after calling for water or a lav dump five times, you sorta give up. And to sit back and critisize those efforts smacks of arrogance to the highest level.

Noone has ever claimed ASA didn't have issues. But it doesn't lie in the pilot group. Even when we are ticked, it's hard to find guys who don't want to be on time.

But you sir, have no idea what you are talking about when you refer to ATL. I've hubbed out of ORD and it's a cake walk by comparison. Are the taxiways a bit more confusing? Sure, but thats what the scratch pad is for. ATL is easier on the ground but when you wait for one hour just to get wheels up, you're late at you destination and you're late getting back because you only had a 25 minute turn at the outstation.

I now my now continue to rain pi$$ upon others. But beware, the wind changes direction. Tool.

I'm glad you brought that up. We were #3 for the approach. First guy got in. The U.S Scareways after him had to show what a pussie he was and asked what was the vis. Screwed everybody and we had to divert to LAX.

For those of you who responded to the fact that I made 101,000 this year all ready and will clear 115,000. You made the assumption that I was anti-union. I actually sent my card in. My reasons for wanting a union have nothing to do with money. I just get tired of all the pilots that use BS line about how freakin bad we have it over here because of one rate. So, I guess if I fly the 50 seat airplane only and make 115,000 a year, then we are actually the highest paid RJ pilots around. The truth is you can manipulate anyones contract or agreement to make it look like you have a point. I was just trying to point out that most of you don't have a clue what we make over here. I am pro union for other reasons. I am not foolish enough to think that when or if we become union that somehow we are going to make 30 dollars more per hour across the board. And if your squabling over the fact that we may make 4 or 5 bucks an hour less than you, save your breath. I routinely turn down over time to the tune of 700 bucks for a days work to stay home and play with my kids.
