"Mookie,

Some guys just don't get it. I hope all is well in LA and BTW I shot a 40 the other day on the front 9. I followed up with a 50 but the potential is there."

40 hah!!! I can do that in just 4 holes!!! Who needs 9 holes to get a score like that. Mookie - remember, when in sfo take the bus to the doubletree and get a bucket of balls at the driving range behind the hotel. This time say "golf-ball" so you don't get in trouble!! God, what a nice view of the FA wacking those balls!! Oh yea, for the record, 'HelloNewman' your a tool!!!!

"I bet all those newhires are going to be happy... who cares if you're screwing over another pilot group as long as the upgrades stay at 18 months!"

Interesting! Sounds a lot like the Comair pilots 4 years ago! My airline is dumping jets and pilots while Comair got a billion dollars worth of brand new jets, a thousand new pilots, and upgrades, upgrades, upgrades! All the while your pilots faught our scope, filed a BS lawsuit against us to try to get more jets, bigger jets at Delta pilots expense! I assume this was all in order to get your pilots the biggest jets and improve your lifestyles! While you all got all those new jets and had F/o's making 1/4 of the Delta Pilots pay who was forced on unemployment, your union refused to even talk about hiring a Delta pilot to be a new hire F/O at the bottom of your list without giving up his senority! I can not tell you how many times I read on this message board some Comair Pilot telling me "Tough SH$$! You knew what you were getting into when you got into this career!" Well what comes around goes around! This Comair situation has gotten out of control! It's time for you guys to face the music! YOUR ON THE WAY OUT! Along with the rest of us if this US/Air deal goes through! Life is a SH$$ sandwich boys, take a bite! If you furloughed Comair guys need some info on how to extend your unemployment checks as long as possible, let me know!

All of the Union Delta Connection carriers are either in contract negotiations or have contract negotiations coming up soon. I think Delta is favoring SkyWest because they don't have to worry about it's pilots going on strike.
Funny how SkyWest pretty much owns SLC while CVG & ATL have four DCI carrier a piece.

Good for you our jumpseat just went non union. If that is the game you want to play all union commuters will have to pay 2% to get on board.

Brilliant!! Threaten the jumpseat! Do you think you can get the Captain to go along? There you go, embarassing the SkyWest pilot group again. You are also an embarrassment to Family Guy fans. Please change your avatar.

Actually he was just responding to someone else who's "jumpseat just went union"...
And I'm not embarassed... I think both sides are acting pretty silly, but what else is new around here...

SkyWav8r,

I'm in sfo today...heading to the range as we speak.

she still outdrove you in heels, and looked a hell of a lot better doing it too!
good times, bro....good times.

For those of you who responded to the fact that I made 101,000 this year all ready and will clear 115,000. You made the assumption that I was anti-union. I actually sent my card in. My reasons for wanting a union have nothing to do with money. I just get tired of all the pilots that use BS line about how freakin bad we have it over here because of one rate. So, I guess if I fly the 50 seat airplane only and make 115,000 a year, then we are actually the highest paid RJ pilots around. The truth is you can manipulate anyones contract or agreement to make it look like you have a point. I was just trying to point out that most of you don't have a clue what we make over here. I am pro union for other reasons. I am not foolish enough to think that when or if we become union that somehow we are going to make 30 dollars more per hour across the board. And if your squabling over the fact that we may make 4 or 5 bucks an hour less than you, save your breath. I routinely turn down over time to the tune of 700 bucks for a days work to stay home and play with my kids.

Good point. It's just hard to argue the fact when everyone seems to look at the bengamins. I honestly couldn't care about the pay too much at all. What really bothers me is that one of the largest regionals does nothing for the industry. At least union carriers help in political activities to promote laws to protect and help us. Safety considerations etc. Unions also can be on the same page to help prevent a whipsawing. But the bottom line it that without a union your company doesn't have to pay you what others do so they are able to undercut other carriers.

I didn't realize that you had 13+ years at skywest when we compared pay and I stated I've already made 78 this year and will make 85 for the year with 200 days off. If I had 13+ years at XJT my pay rate would have been over 85/hr instead of 75/hr and ytd pay would be around 87K and a total for the year of about 95K-100K ..............again, with 200 days off. Just so we are comparing apples to apples.

I commend you however for sending in your card.
