So a 737-700 with aLOOOOOOOOOOt of legroom configured for 70 seats would be a 70 seater then, right?? (Just trying to gauge your perspective).

Apples and oranges. What do you care? Your a big shot embarrased pilot. But when you were at SKYW you sure did n't call Brad and said "sorry im embarrased to fly for you". Moron.

I would have to say that what you agree to fly for is a personal decision made by each airline. I am tired of being told what I need to do, what I need to make, who I need to represent me etc etc. The majority decides each of these issues.

The karma argument makes no sense. We have the highest 50 seat rate in the biz, one of the highest 70 seat rates even flying it for the same. Let us not forget the majority of our planes are still 50 seaters. Our pilots are doing just fine and not "screwing" anyone over. By the end of the month the pilots will have spoken on the pay proposal. My guess is that if it gets voted in then ALPA will not get voted in.

Until we fly routes under SkyWest airlines we will not be in a good position to get a huge raise. Quite frankly I don't feel like paying a large portion of my check to ALPA to sit there and picket and threaten to strike over and over. The fee per departure game sucks and we are all here for the ride. I agree that 90 seaters should stay at mainline. You guys forget that we do not have 90 seaters at skywest, only 70-76 seaters. You guys argue with anger and emotion not logic. If you will excuse me now I have a pay raise to vote in. It's election day.

Newman, you are WRONG. You are not the best paid 50 seat carrier out there. On pay rates ALONE Express Jet is 2-3$/hr above you. Plus you guys DO NOT have the scheduling rules we do. I work 5 days next month due to vacation and get full guarantee. Your 5% override for the 70/90 will be barley 2$/hr more than my 50 seat wage. Please, for the love of god look at the facts! If it's the dues money you're worried about remember they are a tax right off. Come on guys!!!!!

Why is it apples and oranges? ASA flies 50-seat RJs configured to 40 seats for 50-seat pay.

I'm at 101,000 right now and I got two more checks coming. I pick up a trip at time and a half once in awhile. I frankly could care less what any pilot thinks of me or what I get paid. They're all clamoring to jumpseat on my plane and educate me about how freakin bad I've got it. I just can't stop laughing at all the crying that goes on on this board. Meanwhile I'm taking my wheelbarrow full of cash to the bank for flying a freakin 50 seat RJ. I'll clear 115,000 this year. Tell me how bad I got it again.

Yes it would actually. Is flying the 737 any harder than flying the CRJ? Doubtful I would have to say. The cockpit is different but flying is flying. It would still be a 70 seater. The number of seats is the number of seats. It is what it is. It isn't going to generate the revenue a full 737 would and it certainly isn't harder work.

wow you better stop that. Your bound to get tarred and feather for actually admitting you make decent money and not being ashamed to work for skywest. I am also laughing my way all the way to the bank. It never fails to amaze me how many people try and convince us how bad we have it. Some fall for the angry kool-aid. I like the nice frosty life is good beverage. Mainly because life is good. I have nothing to complain about. I am sure I will also be yelled at for not being angry and for not saying how bad I have it when I really don't have it bad.
