$1 bar drinks for SWA crew?
OK....now I have heard it all. Is it true that SWA will only contract with hotels that agree to provide $1 drinks to their crewmembers? -

What I am ashamed of is that initial training pay remains at $2k a month. We should have spent a little money for those guys. As far as passover for the new guys....not really a factor since the money is all about the same the first year. -

It sounds like your making the point that because there "may" be an attorney that will take the case then it will result in a big award settlement. Or is your point that since you have won a case (not at all related to this one) that he will win as well? Your logic defies me. I know this... -

I disagree. There is a reason for the membership vote..one of which being that our negotiating commitee had to make some compromises. Be a responsible union member, read the TA, discuss, and then vote. If you vote no be prepared to walk...if you vote yes...no more bitchin for 4 years about... -

If you call in sick after you are assigned a trip on reseve it automatically generates a discrepency report to your chief pilot. I don't recommend that action by any pilot who is not genuinely unfit to fly due to illness. -

and 100 percent emotion. I interpreted the union email very differently. What I read was they don't wan't individuals to form split groups, to start underground movements, or to engage in emotional and potentially illegal flight behavior. Fly the contract, fly legal, fly safe. Period... -

1. Not flying overtime has not helped UPS in the pace or effectiveness of their negotiations, why would it help us? UPS, a year ahead of us in contract negotiations, has not flown draft since management announced that they would furlough 50 pilots about three years ago. I don't see their... -

I don't agree about having to be a contractual issue to have the Union involved. There is nothing in our contract that prevents the company from killing crew members that block out late....but they still can't do it...its illegal. If it is in fact against federal labor laws (and I"m not... -

If its illegal then it should stop. We do need to talk about it so that we can approach our union legal department and at a minimum send a cease and desist letter. That way the word will get out to "rouge" managers. How do you prove it? Easy...have a few pilots who interviewed and are... -
